ProActiv Advanced Blemish Treatment Review

I’ve been doing some sponsored posts for Proactiv the past few weeks and I got a few samples of their products to check out and I honestly didn’t think I’d like any of them but so far it’s proved a very good experience!

I recently had a big old pimple on my chin so I reached for Proactiv Advanced Blemish Treatment and had instant high school flash backs. I remember using Clearasil to attack pimples and I also remember that my skin would come out of it flaking off. It was SO incredibly drying.

I was a little hesitant to try Proactiv’s version of pimple zapper as my skin is dry enough so def don’t need to add fuel to the fire so to speak. But, hey, it was either this or slap a Hello Kitty Band Aid on it and say I scratched myself or something lame like that. You know, where you convince you and the people around you that the kawaii bandage on your face isn’t really hiding an ugly pimple, it’s actually hiding a bad bruise or scrap from that time you went skydiving in Hawaii…something elaborate like that makes a plaster on your face sound really fancy.

But for the sake of this post I did indeed smear a little drop of this on my pimple. The formula is a gel-like cream that feels comfortable on my face and has no fragrance. The best part? No dryness AT all after use. I was shocked to say the least but thankfully enough it treated that pimple in two days and did it without drying my face out.

All I can say is WINNING!

I’ll keep this one in the beauty arsenal just in case any other stray spots decide to appear.

How do you treat spots?

Imagine

In 1969, John married Yoko and the idea of peace and loving your fellow wo(man) was forever changed. Knowing their marriage would turn into a huge media circus they decided to use that press in a positive way by proceeding to stay in bed for 7 days inviting press from all over the world to hear John preach the good word of peace.

John was shot in the back and killed in 1980. It’s sad that a man who inspired peace and love was killed in such a brutal way. I’d like to think John would be the first one to forgive the person who killed him as that’s the kind of bloke he was.

Today’s is his anniversary…so take a moment today to imagine there’s no heaven, no hell, no possessions, no countries at war with one another, nothing to kill or die for, no religion to fight about, no greed…

Remember to love your fellow brother and sister. What better time of the year to do so?

Wet n Wild Baked ColorIcon Eye Palette Holiday 2011 Review, Swatches, Photos

I have a theory that Wet n Wild rushed along their success a little too quickly. Last year, they came out with not only an outstanding Holiday Collection but also some very key catalog items that proved incredibly good for a lower end drugstore cosmetic brand.

This year, they made some valid attempts to top themselves but so far I’m not entirely impressed with the LE offerings particularly ones they released for the Holidays.

Let’s take a look at the Wet n Wild ColorIcon Eye Kit for Holiday 2011.

Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Eyeliner Trio Nude Eyes Review, Swatches, Photos

Physicians Formula has two new Shimmer Strip Eyeliner Trios available one of which is available in Nude Eyes which is a selection of nude, natural shades of color. I automatically I assumed the colors would possibly lean towards shimmering shades of beige or nude but actually 75% of the set is made up of browns and blacks.

I’m not partial to these eyeliners even though they get rave reviews across the board but I wanted to purchase and swatch these for reader’s interested in seeing what they looked like.

Take a look!
