Lattafa Maitha Perfume Oil has been making waves across Tiktok and it’s understandable as the brand does bring out banger after banger in the world of fragrance. If you haven’t tried Nebras yet please, please do so. And Lattafa Eclaire another gorgeous fragrance!
That being said, I do walk into Arabic fragrance purchases with a lot of caution lately. The dishonesty on Tiktok is insane all in the name of selling and making commission off the hype of a mediocre product or in this case fragrance. People REALLY, really hype things up into a huge frenzy and let me tell you it’s working because people are buying, buying, buying…! The current product of the moment is WNP Hyaluronic Acid! Never heard of this product in my life but every other Tiktok someone is talking about it. Right now Tiktok Shop is at the height of its career (who knows where things will be January 19th though) and things are selling amazingly well. Everyone and their mother are doing QVC-like sales pitches to get you to buy anything and everything. Fragrance is particularly having a huge moment not only in the beauty world but on platforms like Tiktok. And sadly, not everyone is being completely honest. Aroma Concept is a very good example of this. They’re a massive retailer of a variety of Arabic brands and one of the brands they carry is called Paris Corner. Paris Corner in theory sounds like something I’d love but they’ve introduced this round of Ministry of Gourmand Fragrances that have absolutely BLOWN up on Tiktok. There are so many amazing reviews with people yelling, shouting, rolling on the floor and telling you how you NEED these perfumes. Unfortunately, with brands like Lattafa you’re pretty much forced into a blind buy purchase as you can’t go to say Sephora and do a little sniff check to see if you love it.
Well, none of them are good in my opinion. They smell cheap in my opinion and I’m not here rolling around the floor in fits yelling at you to buy them. I’m actually shouting at the screen for you to please don’t waste your money as I already did.
However, I will say, the Tiktokers aren’t lying about Lattafa Maitha Perfume Oil. I was skeptical when I saw everyone yelling at me to buy this but curiosity got the best of me and I dished out my $35 to get a bottle and it DOES NOT DISAPPOINT. So much so I got a second bottle.
Let’s Talk About how nobody is talking about WYN BEAUTY Nothing To See Soft Matte Creamy Concealer. Ok, I know, another celebrity brand you’re thinking and I get it! I really do! It’s been a lot lately. Too much maybe. But hear me out, WYN BEAUTY, Serena William’s new beauty brand, actually has some really good products and one of those products is the Nothing To See Soft Matte Creamy Concealer. We’ve seen a few new concealers in 2024 but this particular formula stands out for me.
I’m a concealer junkie as you well know and lately I find I’m pickier and pickier with the formulas I used but this one was quite lovely.
As you may know Dove x Crumbl is the latest Dove Treats Collection to launch. Yeah, Dove is going there yet again with a Spring 2025 Collaboration that includes body washes, deodorants, hand washes, and body scrubs scented like Crumbl cookies. Dove may or may not be milking these Treat Collections lately. Don’t get me wrong I love a gourmand bath and body product and I think it’s truly unique to find one at the drugstore. I love Dove for doing these and I think it’ll be pretty cool if they do more. HOWEVER, they can really improve on a few things with these launches. One thing they can do is be clear where and when these products will be available. These collections just randomly drop and are shared across social media before Dove ever even utters a word about them. Which results in people running around like a chicken without a head trying to locate them. This also, causes a problem with flippers.
What’s a flipper? A person who buys limited edition items at normal price, knowing they will sell out, then immediately turns around and sells them at double or triple the retail price. It’s rather gross and it’s exactly what’s happening on Tiktok at the moment. Dove x Crumbl has no official date. As far as I know Dove really hasn’t shared a date. It’s all a vague sometime in January maybe in February. But the collection has been in and out of stock at Walmart several times since before Christmas and any single time something comes in stock it IMMEDIATELY sells out. Also, the collection has already been popping up in Walmart stores (I haven’t seen it but have seen videos of people shopping it).
Here’s the thing…! It’s fairly obvious who is buying out all these bottles of body scrub and body wash and that would be flippers. Normally, they head over to Mercari and sell it at triple the price but now there’s a new way to sell things and that would be Tiktok Lives.
This is your sign to take down your Christmas tree soon. I normally put up three trees but this year I only did the one and I feel like such a great weight was lifted off my shoulders knowing I don’t have to take it all down. My boyfriend tends to store it all away but when it comes to actually taking it down, well, I’m anal and I won’t let him help because it all has to be done perfectly. I have a system. A system only I know! LOL!
No but seriously, I love Christmas and I love the décor but when it comes to hauling it all out, putting it all up, and taking it all down well, that’s when it becomes a chore. No likey! One thing about me as soon as Three Kings Day is over that tree is coming down. It’s lovely, it truly is but after it being up over a month it can become a little tiring and I just want my house back to normal again ya know?
