NARS Night Series Palette

I was at Sephora last night returning something and I was just wandering around trying to finalize my list of wants when I came across the NARS Night Series Palette!

NARS Night Series Palette as seen on Sephora

Wow.

Just….

Wow.

I have quite a bit of product from NARS but when I had seen this palette online I wasn’t tempted at all. It seemed matte, plain, somewhat boring. But boy was I ever wrong!

The palette is gorgeous and I highly suggest nabbing this little guy! You get six ultra shimmering shades of eyeshadow and I’m absolutely loving the perfect white sparkle color in this palette called Night Snow.

Night Snow is supposedly a best seller from NARS and how I never noticed it prior to this shocks me! Also included in this palette is a personal favorite of mine Night Star! This is such a gorgeous gold shimmer! So yummie!

On top of those two brilliant colors you’ll also get Night Fever (Black with Red Glitter), Night Clubbing (Black with Gold Glitter), Night Rider (Plum with Silver Glitter), and Night Fairy (Voilet with Gold Glitter).

NARS single shadows are $21 USD each so you’ll get 6 in this palette for $55 USD and with your discount you’ll get it for $44 USD which brings the price down to about $7 bucks and change per a shadow which in my opinion isn’t too bad a deal!

If you’re looking for a shimmering palette that’ll make your eyes pop for the Holiday Season this would be perfect!

I’m loving this and can’t WAIT to get mine! I finally did my Friends and Family order yesterday and this, my dears, was in the lot of items I purchased!

It’s most definately Muse approved! And I can’t WAIT to share pictures, a review, and FOTD using this little palette!

The Muse is excited!

bareMinerals bareGold Pure Luxury Color Collection

I knew it, I just knew it!

Seeing as Bare Escentuals released two Diamond sets I just knew it was going to release some sort of gold collection for it’s QVC Exclusive.

And here it is:

bareGold Pure Luxury Color Collection as seen on QVC

They have this set available in two options. A one time purchase or an autoship purchase.

Basically if you order it as a one time purchase you’ll be paying $44.98usd and recieving the following items:

Mineral Veil
Gold Gossamer
Riches Blush
Gilded Taupe Glimpse Eyeshadow
Golden Earth Glimmer Eyeshadow in Cinnamon Toast
Gold Mine Eyeliner Shadow in Brown
Truffle Lip Color in Sunset Brown
Full Flawless Face Brush
Eye-Shaping Brush
Heavenly Eyeliner Blending Brush
Vanity Gift Box

You can choose to purchase this using their payment plan which will space your payments over two months (charging $22.49 this month and $22.49 next month).

Now the other option they have available for this kit is an autoship option which basically means you’ll be getting this set plus several more shipments with new colors however for some reason the price is a bit more on the autopship and it’s actually $54.97 for the set when choosing this option. The idea of receiving a new interesting set for each season does sound appealing but I’m just wondering why they are tacking $10 bucks onto the original price for just ordering one hmmm!

If you choose the autoship option here is what you’ll receive over the course of the next few months!

1st Shipment:
bareGold: translucent Mineral Veil, Gold Gossamer, Riches blush in earth pink, Golden Earth Glimmer in cinnamon, Gilded Taupe Glimpse in gilded taupe, Gold Mine liner in brown, Truffle lipstick in sunset brown

2nd Shipment:
bareDiamond: translucent Mineral Veil, Diamond Gossamer, blush in warm pink, Marquise Glimmer in polished chrome, Clarity Glimpse in powder blue, Bronze Leaf liner in eggplant, Gelato lipstick

3rd Shipment:
barePearl: tinted Mineral Veil, Rose Gossamer, blush in taupe pink, Amber Glimmer, Luster Glimpse in pale amber, Carnival liner in spiced walnut, Amaretto lipstick

4th Shipment:
barePlatinum: feather light Mineral Veil, Platinum Gossamer, blush in mauve pink, Embrace Glimmer in lavender, Intuition Glimpse in eggplant, Fame liner in burgundy, Ripe Fig lipstick in lilac mauve

I’d say you get a nice load of product for the price and of course if you get something you hate you can always swap it away or sell it off! Personally all these interesting Gossamer’s have me excited!

Loving it?
Hating it?

Tell the Muse!

Shu Uemura Gloss Lacquer Review

Count the Muse confused. When she originally discovered Shu’s Gloss Lacquer she could have sworn it was a limited edition product but low and behold it’s still quite up and available at Shu’s website as well as Sephora so I guess I somehow went wrong somewhere!

The good news is that this stuff is like crack for my lips and I adore it. The bad news is it’s bloody expensive at $26usd per a pot thus making me feel like I’m on crack when buying a pot of this stuff! Who in their right frame of mind purchases $26 lipgloss? Don’t answer that.

Three colors are available of this fabulous gloss two of which your Muse owns and keeps in her beauty vault the third would be a color called Invincible Pink.

Gloss Lacquer is exactly what you’d expect after seeing/reading the name. It’s so glossy your lips have the lacquered effect. Surprisingly this stuff is a snap to apply. Normally any lip product in a pot always causes me heart failure, drama, and general stress during application but this warms on contact with my fingertip and smooths on easily.

My lips thank Mister Shu Uemura after using this brilliant stuff! I especially love that I don’t have to stain my lips or use a lipstick beneath. The actual gloss isn’t all that pigmented but for some reason or another upon application my lips just pop with really nice color! Slick, glossy, and perfect this is well worth the $26 bucks!

Now..if they’d only make some more colors I’d be quite happy hmmm……

Stila Convertible Color Review

‘ello ‘ello lovely readers!

Today I bring you a review of one of my favorite “simple” makeup products. Stila Convertible Color is just the thing I need when I am in a rush, to lazy for a full makeup look, or just looking for the right pinch of color for my cheeks!

Stila Convertible Color is available in a slew of fantastic shades to suit any skin and complexion type. I believe most shades are flattering on all skins tones since the colors are so transparent and sheer yet natural and pigmented.

Convertible Color is supposed to be your one stop shop for adding color to your cheeks and lips but I personally only use it on my cheeks as I find it feels quite weird on my lips and some of the colors just don’t work well.

Convertible Color quite reminds me of a Tarte Cheek Stain in a compact but with fewer touch ups inbetween uses! The texture is almost gelly like with a creamy base and it lasts ages on me. I rarely have to run into the washroom to layer on some more it just lasts and lasts and lasts. It also gives me a great illusion of looking like I’ve had about ten hours of sleep when I’ve only had about two! My cheeks look dewy and fresh upon application. The completed look always makes me look gorgeous and flawless! My favorite way of using this is after finishing my morning face wash routine (scrub, tone, moisturize)! If it’s a weekend and I’m just running out to do errands I have a quick shower, tie my hair up, wash my face, moisturize, and slip some Convertible Color onto my cheeks and away I go minus foundation! Simple, Easy, Fast!

As I said early this does quite remind me of Tarte Cheek Stain but the texture is slightly thicker and almost sticky when you first apply but as your skin warms the cream it sinks in quite nicely and the sticky feeling subsides. The difference is if I use Tarte Cheek Stain I’ll be touching up five times a day where as with this it lasts from morning to afternoon and beyond!

Overall, it’s a fabulous little product and definately makes life in the cosmetic world a whole lot easier!
