Ariana Grande Cloud Intense Might Be A Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait

Ariana Grande Cloud Intense Eau de Parfum instantly popped into my cart today! It’s available now at ulta.com and is a completely easy blind buy with me. I love the original which made purchasing the new intense version very easy.

I don’t typically like Intense scent releases. I feel like Intense implies that something will have an extreme form, strength, or sillage than the original juice but in reality, it’s a way for the nose behind the scents to actually muck with the original and create something slightly different. This means it won’t always be as loved as the original. I’ve tried plenty Intense versions of fragrances I love only to be incredibly disappointed that they removed the DNA I loved about the original and created something entirely new.

Will that be the case with Cloud Intense? It’s debatable since many of the notes remain the same but the BASE is where things get a little iffy.

Just like the original, the top notes are Lavender Blossom, Juicy Pear, Bergamot, and just like the original, the heart remains the same with Cr�me De Coconut, Indulgent Praline, and Vanilla Orchid. The base notes are where things start to change. Remember the dry down and base are what is left after the fragrance dries down. They are the most dominant notes of the blend. In this case, Sensual Musks and Creamy Blonde Wood remain but they added Dry Cashmeran and Ambox to the new Intense version.

Ambrox carries a musky the same muskiness ambergris but it also has characteristics of light woods with dry cashmeran being more a cross between woods and amber. Both of these notes should compliment the creamy blonde wood and musks. However, there’s a good possibility that both may add a lot more richness and depth to Cloud that wasn’t there before. This is where the question that begs to be answered is whether or not Cloud Intense will be an intense version of Cloud or an entirely new creation.

Most people like Cloud because they feel it reminds them of a lighter Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540. What are the chances that Cloud Intense might prove to be Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait de Parfum? If that’s the case, I’d say we’ll all be pretty damn happy. As lovely as Baccarat Rouge 540 EDP is we all know the real gold is in the Extrait. Will Cloud Intense be a more Extrait version of BR540?
