Bourjois Paris Eau De Gloss Review

Imagine a gloss that felt like a refreshing sip of water on your lips. Now imagine it coming in an array of fabulous shades.

What if I told you there was such a product available?

Well look no further 😉 Bourjois Paris’s Eau De Gloss contains 14% water content and is a slick, glossy, moisturizing treat for the lips!

I have two of these glosses and I adore them! I’m a big lover of lipgloss but I really hate how many brands leave my lips feeling tacky and sticky which is one reason Eau De Gloss gets the Muse’s approval for a great gloss! The gloss has a rather short bristle brush for applying so one application is never enough and I find I have to re-dip two or three times but aside from that minor flaw the gloss itself is a great formula as it does exactly what it advertises. It leaves my lips feeling refreshed and glossy minus the tack and stick of other glosses I use. It lasts quite a while with about a 3 hour time span before retouching up! I have this in Eau fraiche which is a clear color that’s perfect after I stain my lips or apply some lipstick. Slick some on and my lipstick or stain becomes gloriously glossy and shiny! I also have this in Framboise Glacee which is pigmented enough to wear with or without your favorite lipstick or lipstain beneath!

Each gloss is $15USD which isn’t too bad as you get quite a large bit of product!

Overall, these are a staple in my beauty arsenal and I definately love ’em! I wish more glosses used the same formula as I wouldn’t mind the slick without the sticky!

    Hi Muse *wave*

gosh, i’ve been so busy at work! I’ve been OTing all week, ugh.

So I just came back from the Company Store. I have to stop. Seriously. I feel so mentally unfit to be in the same building as a discounted cosmetics store. I should always live/work at least 30 miles away from a makeup store, otherwise, I’ll lose it, and my wallet will suffer. Almost $200 in one store in ONE week!!! Muse! that’s not right! I swear, I won’t be able to meet my next mortgage payment and I’ll be this lady with a trunk full of makeup living in her car!

So, I did some damage today with MAC Lipglass (3 of them), Lip liner, Perscriptive makeup kit (the only reason I bought it is because it has the False Lahses mascara in it and I want to give it to my friend to try it) and Estee Lauder Brush Cleaner ($9 for a huge bottle).

Unlike your love for the Bourjois lipgloss, I hated that gloss. I went to Ulta (again, 3 min drive down the road for me, what’s up with all these makeup stores around!) and tried on this gloss. OMG, I loved it. It was so shiny and the color is just so me! I got the duo pack one, had a light pink and a darker pink ($20). So I hopped in my car and ready to go see a movie. 2 hours and 1 coke later, my gloss was COMPLETELY GONE! It felt like it was bleeding to the side of my mouth.

I gotta admit, my gloss gotta be a little heavy duty for me. I hate touching up gloss, I almost never do. So they need to last well over 5 hours for me. I hate it when the center of my mouth’s gloss is gone, but it stil got some left over on my lip line.

My favorite is Anna Sui’s, then it’s MAC Lipglass (i know you hate it, but i think the vanilla scent makes up a bit for it right?). and Now I’m addicted to Tarte’s double end lipgloss.

I’m all over the place with gloss, i know. I have some high end ones (Chanel, Dior), but none of them impresses me.

At the end of the day, I’m just a lip balm girl. Rose Salve, Philosopy’s Kiss, and Kiel’s #1.

    Happy Friday! =)

Hmm… I’ve been eying the EDGs on every trip through my local Ulta. Moka Frappe looks particularly mouthwatering. The thing is I’ve been hearing conflicting reports on the lasting power of the gloss. It’s reassuring to hear that it lasted a fair 3 hours for you; if those glosses taste as good as they look they probably won’t last 3 minutes on me. Yes, I know, I’m one of those weirdos who can’t stop licking off flavored lipgloses/balms. I need help. 😉 Oh yes, and also as promised, my Shu Uemura review is posted and ready for your delectation!

Hey, I love these too! I have it and it gives a nice watery feeling to my lips. 🙂

    Hi steph!

Me too! Major swamped at work!

LOL CCO a few feet away from work could present a major problem lmao!

LOL I’m with you! We can live in the same caravan 😉 hehe!

How is the EL brush cleaner? I normally use mac and love it.

You’re right. The gloss has a tendency for slipping and sliding off! I normally prep my lip area with an invisible liner before putting this gloss on and it stays all day after that. If I try using it by itself it’ll only last me an hour at most before I ingest it, ends up on my cup/glass, or it just slides off 😉

But I adore how much lightweight glossy and long wearing it is (after using a liner).

I hate glosses that run to the corners of my mouth and leave tht gross cracked icky gloss residue 😛 yuk!

I actually have to give lipglass credit for being the longest wearing gloss around! it literally lasts hours and hours and hours!

I can’t pick favs because I have too many like you 🙂

Rose Salve is an absolute gem! it’s a must have in my opinion! I need to review it hehe! It literally does everything!

    Thanks for the comment!

    ‘ello mandypandy 🙂

I’ve seen conflicting reviews as well! Some folk adore ’em some hate ’em! personally they are awesome to me aside from the fact I have to triple dip in order to get enough product on my lips to work with! And I was just saying it’s best to use an invisible liner so it doesn’t slip and slide off!

Don’t feel bad most of my gloss and lippie product ends up in my stomach lol!

AH! I shall look now 🙂

    Thanks for the comment *hugs*
