I recently read about Tarte Peaches and Cream Oil-Free Powder Foundation over at 15 Minute Beauty Fanatic.

After reading Christine’s raving review I promptly looked up more reviews for the product and decided I must haves it now! Let me tell you there are quite a few raves surrounding this little product. Although I’m a Tarte fan this is the first time I’ve even heard about this. The worst part about the entire product is it’s freaking limited edition! Ugh! How awful is that? What convinced me further to want to try this out was I got at least ten e-mails over the past two weeks asking “Muse have you tried Tarte Peaches and Cream Foundation?” and I sadly had to say no that I never even heard about it!

This is probably thee best product you’ll run across at the moment that offers really good yet light coverage plus dries down to a matte, powder finish which is perfect for those humid, hot days. I probably can’t get away with wearing this in the Winter when my skin is drier but right now when I’m sporting a bit of oily skin it’s pure perfection.

A little tiny dab goes a long way. Simply squirt a small amount on your fingertip and go to town smoothing it down the sides of your nose and spreading outwards to your cheeks, under your lip line, sides of chin, etc….these are areas I need coverage as those are dull spots for me and also shadowy. After this I have a beautiful working canvas for the rest of my makeup or since the coverage is so natural I can simply leave the house with this on and some gloss!

It contains plenty of good for you ingredients like vitamins a, c, and e plus it has an SPF of 20 which is a total plus for me! The color does appear slightly strange. It has a very weird orange beige tinge however it does blend in flawlessly in and leaves my skin looking fresh and awake!

In my quest for perfect, flawless skin Tarte Peaches & Cream definately gets added to my Summer Must Have list! The fact that it offers excellent coverage while remaining light and natural plus keep my skin matte in the Summer sun makes it a perfect addition to my Summer Must Have Makeup List!

As you can see from my FOTD (excuse my tired eyes! Didn’t have much sleep last night eep!) the foundation gives a rather fresh, dewy look to my skin!

I’ve had this for months and months and just never gotten around to reviewing it! I also sent one to a friend recently for her to play with =)

I have to say it doesn’t work so well for me–i like the cream to powder finish but on my crazy oily skin, even with a primer it slides around like crazy, leaving streaks and all that mess =( I really wanted to love it (which is why I ordered two without having tried it) but it just wasn’t for me.

By chance have you tried the fair? With your beautiful porcelain skin I feel like it might be perfect for you!

What shade did you use – fair or light?

I’m thinking of picking up the Tarte Complexion kit on Sephora.com – and am also wondering what shade to do for that.

hiya jen!

I just read about it and a few people emailed me recently and I was like wait what? I never heard of it before this.

I liked the way it worked for me as it gave good coverage while still remaining light which is a plus.

Wow..really? I have an oily forehead in Summer and a bit on the sides of my nose but no probs with it sliding off or leaving streaks. It actually mattified my skin very well which is why I liked it plus the coverage and pigmentation was great without feeling too heavy.

I was curious about fair…for some odd reason I thought light was the best shade but now I wish I had gotten the fair! darn!

might have to buy another. ffsale helps :)

hiya laurie I used light…and now I wish I had gotten fair. I think maybe get the fair as it seems that would be better suited.

I was going to get it too. I’d go with the fair if you have porceline skin as the light has a bit of beige orange tint which I hope the fair will clear up ;)

hope this helps!

i don’t know why it doesn’t work for me! it may be the fact that i have CRAZY oily skin but *sigh*. i’m going to give it another shot since i’ve only been using it sporadically over the past few months–or maybe i’ll have better luck in the winter when my face is a tiny bit less oily.

my skin drives me nuts sometimes! it’s ridiculously oily yet my cheeks are ridiculously dry–it just doesn’t want to cooperate! =X

you should definitely try the fair! i think with your coloring it might be perfect for you. i woulda sent you mine if i hadn’t just recently given it away =(

hiya jen!

I’m surprised. I don’t have super oily skin but I am shocked as it does dry out to a powder and is very matte so I would think it would help tame your oily skin blues :(

I can’t use this in winter sadly as my skin is too dry and I picture this will be flaky on my dry skin!

You need Lush :) hehehehe!

aww thanks honey! That’s very nice of you!

I actually have the light in my cart right now ;) at 40% off you can’t go wrong!

This is exactly what I was thinking of getting yesterday with the code, but I wasn’t sure about the light coverage aspect.

How well would you say the coverage builds?

I remember seeing this…uhm, ages ago, and it seemed like a good dupe for diorskin icon. I’m really diggin the powder compact with SPF 8, it seems good to use for on-the-go use. :]

hi mandy!

it builds up very well. Actually it’s too pigmented if that’s possible. Although the color is a weird orange in the light shade but it smooths nice rather nicely..I am interested in stepping down now and trying the lighter shade ;)
hope this helps!

SPF is always a plus ;) 40% off helps big time lol!
