Mandom Cleansing Express Moist Cleansing Lotion Review

Feeling lazy?

Here’s your solution:

Meet Cleansing Express Moist Cleansing Lotion.

I’ve never heard of it before, I’ve never seen it before, and probably would have never gotten a chance to even try it if my beautiful mate Aya didn’t mention it to me. During one of our e-mails she said that she noticed I was looking for a good mascara remover and proceeded to recommend this stuff!

Well, Aya’s rave is spot on!

It’s freaking good stuff!

This removes virtually everything from your face without drying it. It does a particularly killer job removing waterproof mascara and eye makeup. The formula is very strange as it’s not oily but just like pure water! I simply took a large cotton square, pumped a few squirts on and went to work on my eyes. After I took another cotton square and did my face. Aya had suggested rinsing afterward although you don’t have to as per the instructions I took her advice and had a quick rinse. Presto done! Just as the bottle advertises, “Ready for bed as soon as possible!”

I was so excited about Cleansing Express Moist Cleansing Lotion I had to go on my merry googling way and find out more about it!

I came across the mandom Beauty website at first visit and later I came across Lady L’s youTube video of this!

How I missed this video is beyond me as I closely follow Lady L’s going ons. Call me a stalker but she fascinates me and I adore her blog!

Hopefully she doesn’t mind too much that I’m totally snatching her youTube video and showing it here! Check it, Lady L working her magic with Cleansing Express Moist Cleansing Lotion:

As you can see it removes virtually all traces of eye makeup! It works all over the face so it multitasks as both an eye makeup remover and face cleanser plus did I mention it’s cheap as chips?

I paid retail at around 800 yen I believe. Can’t beat the price as the bottle is huge but I imagine it’ll go fast as you do need a few squirts for both eyes and face but hey it’s cheap..just buy more!

I can see this easily become a cult favorite for me right up there with Kose Airy Whip which means I’m seeing my future and it consists of me buying cases of Cleansing Express Moist!

Although you can’t purchase it for retail if you’re not in Japan you can get it from Weichi for $13.99 USD which is still a steal in my opinion! Click!

Did I mention the cleanser is water based and contains no alcohol? Gotta love it! Keeps getting better and better doesn’t it?

Do I love it?

But of course!

Am I stashing it? Yes….the Muse needs cases of this stuff!

Muse Approval for this one! I love it! I believe I found my holy grail eye makeup remover!

    Hey Muse!

I’ve used many of the similar product before, and they are usually called cleansing oils (in asia). It’s great to clean off virtually everything on your skin! It rinses clean with water but it is usually highly recommended to use a gentle cleanser afterwards (depending on formula and skintype). I have really oily skin so as a safety precaution (to breakouts) I always clean with a gentle cleanser quickly afterwards…it even takes off waterline makeup just my massaging it on top of your lids when you close your eyes! It’s one of my staples and I can’t live without it! Greatly improved my skin (been using it for 3 years now). Just thought I would share my experiences with you and other readers! Hope this helps!

Oh…one more thing…use it on a DRY face as a cleanser instead of using a cotton pad, because it is used as a cleanser more than a sole makeup remover. So use on a dry face to melt all your makeup and then rinse clean with water. Follow with a gentle cleanser to clear all residue.

    =)

I need to get me some of that. Sometimes I get lazy too and dragging myself to the bathroom to wash my face is a torture on those days. Thanks Muse for the post.

    hiya Verdandi!

Thanks for the comment. Oh I have lots of cleansing oils but this is a water based cleaner so you do have to use a cotton bad. It’s not as gel like as an oil so if you pump this into your hand and smooth it onto your face you’ll be losing alot of product and not doing much for removal. it’s completely water based without any oil 🙂

Some of my fav oils are from Shu, Kose, and Jill Stuart but this is very different in formula 🙂

This definately needs a cotton pad for removal though as it doesn’t melt anything anyway without to aid of cotton 🙂

Thanks so much again for your comment!

Hope to speak to you again soon!

Hey Muse. I totally love this remover/cleanser as well. I have one for oily skin called Sebum. It really removes makeup well, but im afraid to use this toooo often as im not sure if this might lead to bad skin in the long run? Cheers~

Hi Muse! I’m a newbie here and so darn glad to have found your site while searching for Etude house products. Anyway, just purchased my first Mandom Cleansing Lotion a while ago. I chose BrightUp although not sure if I made the right choice. I have normal/combination skin (oily on the T-zone but not too much) so I didn’t choose Sebum which is for oily skin cause it might remove too much oil I’ll end up with dry skin. Hope BrightUp it will be a worthy purchase. Love your site !!!
