Lush Paradise Regained Moisturizer Review

I’ve already did prior reviews on Lush’s brand new facial moisturizers Skin Nanny and Vanishing Cream and today I’ll be wrapping up my review with Lush Paradise Regained Facial Moisturizer.

The Muse remembers a few years ago when Lush Gorgeous Moisturizer was $69.95 USD. In recent years the price has steadily climbed upwards to $85 USD. The Muse swears by Gorgeous and has been using it for quite a long time but as it reached the $85 USD mark the Muse began to sweat bullets at spending so much on her facial moisturizer. However, she did decide that she must do what she must do because indeed Lush Gorgeous is nirvana for her skin.

Recently, Lush introduced Paradise Regained and of course this Muse rushed right out to purchase it and try it out for herself unknown to her that this would be the day she found a cheaper option to her beloved Gorgeous.

Although Gorgeous is facial cream nirvana for me I actually prefer Paradise Regained over it as it has some options that Gorgeous doesn’t offer. Paradise Regained is advertised as a mature skin moisturizer but I think it’s perfectly fine for any skin type. It’s light, it’s refreshing and pure perfect for combination, dry, or normal skin types in my humblest. The moisturizer contains an array of fresh fruits to brighten and revive skin. If you seen some of my Summer FOTD’s you may have spotted a certain dullness to my skin, after using Paradise Regained I feel like my skin has a new life and it been glowing once again!

The formula is very similiar to Gorgeous in that it’s very light and absorbs quite easily. It has natural ingredients to protect skin from the effects of the sun and plenty of wonderful fresh fruits to whiten and brighten the complextion. Taking into consideration what wonders Paradise Regained has done with my skin I have no question that it can easily replace my pot of Gorgeous and at half the price!

Honestly, it’s well worth trying out as it’s a fabulous day cream that isn’t too oily, keeps skin fresh and dewy, erases signs of fatigue all while brightening your skin!

The Muse absolutely loves it and it’s easily become a staple morning moisturizer for her! She recommends checking it out for yourself and gives it a big mighty Muse Approval for purchase as she blames all her good skin days on it lately! Paradise has truly been regained as my skin was lackluster before and now it simply glows!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Wow, I’m convinced! Lol. Wonder when we’ll get this over here, wouldn’t mind using it as a night cream. Am currently on the look out for a nice night cream for 23-year old skin. And I want to stick with LUSH because of being able to understand the ingredients and their philosophy. LOVE LUSH!

The only Lush moisturizer I have ever used was Celestial. It smelled wonderful and was nice for winter, but not so much once it got hot and humid.

This looks intersting though… maybe I will give it a try in the spring…

    hey Dancinggal!

It’s amazing..and so much cheaper then gorgeous 🙂

It’s a bit too light for night cream use in my humble opinion but if you don’t need extra moisture in the evening it should work out well!

what sort of skin do you have maybe I can rec something?

  • the Muse

    hi jonnie!

Celestial is very nice not my fav but good stuff 🙂

You should try vanishing cream..it’s ideal for the warm weather 🙂 very light!

I’m going to get a sample of this next time I’m at Lush. Maybe it will work with my skin 🙂

  • the Muse

I think it’ll be ok for your sensitive skin dd…it’s rather soft and gentle 🙂

Did I tell you that I've been sort of doing what you suggested?

I've been using my Burts Bee's Radiance Night Creme not only at night, but during the day on places that I felt needed extra moisture and I think my skin is looking great :>
I still feel like the oil of olay is just not moisturizing enough but putting on the Burt's Bees night creme, which absorbs fast, and then putting the Oil of Olay over that seems to really be making a difference in my skin.

Now if only I could figure out how to make the pigmentation from where I had that nasty zit this summer go away, I'd be happy!

  • the Muse

sounds like you found your perfect skincare regime 🙂

Hmmm what about Philosophy Pigment of my Imagination? Wonder if that might help!

    Hey, Muse!
I am a bit of a Lush-y and can tell you that ordering online from Lush UK will save you lots of money, even with the shipping.

    • the Muse

yup I know catazure. I’ve been ordering most of my lush from the UK for the past several years, I’ve mentioned as much in various posts.
