Fantastically good stuff. Count this Muse impressed!

Jump ahead to hear me rave!

I’ve used quite alot of powders in my day but I don’t think I’ve come across a richly pigmented powder as Benefit Hello Flawless! If you use a powder foundation you’re seriously going to want to give this a try as it truly covers literally EVERYTHING and possibly the kitchen sink too.

The powder is heavily pigmented but manages to remain light and natural on the face which is quite impressive for the Muse. Anything as pigmented as this powder would make me think twice as I’d worry it would appear cakey on my skin but nope, not the case. Flawless is the order of business indeed. The formula is gentle, light, and quite airy. I was a bit worried that my dry skin would look absolutely ridiculous with this on but no problems at all in that area. The powder applies and blends like a dream and creates flawless coverage without any caking, creasing, or flaking due to dry skin. It managed to control my oily forehead and stayed fresh for about four or five hours before I needed to head in for a touch up. Normally I don’t wear powder as a foundation but I did so today and I must say I was looking heavenly as you’ll notice from my photos below. Even my mate Martin mentioned that I was “glowing”!

Benefit Hello Flawless! has alot going for it in particular the fact that it contains SPF 15. Combining sun protection with a mattifying powder plus one pigmented enough to work as a foundation creates a star of a product. The compact is too cute with a “lit” makeup mirror on the cover and the words “Hello Flawless”. Flip it open to reveal a dual compact which has the powder on top and houses the brush and the sponge, yes indeed two applicators, underneath.

The powder gives the Burger King motto a whirl for it’s money! It’s “Have it your way” foundation powder! w00t! The basic concept of the powder is it works one of two ways by 1. using the brush to sweep on a thin layer of powder to combat oil, set makeup, or freshen your face up or 2. use the sponge applicator for full on flawless coverage and to cover spots, blemishes, or dull skin. The Muse tried it both ways and although brushing on the powder is fab for a quickie touch up I actually prefer application with the sponge as I felt like taking full advantage of such a pigmented powder (in this particular case more was less). There aren’t many ways to describe the results…flawlessness is the best way to put it, hence the name right? It seriously covers really well and creates a perfect canvas for makeup. Heck, I even used a tiny bit under my eyes and it covers up dark circles in a snap! I checked the ingredients and I don’t see any Talc which could account for why it wore so well on my face.

The following photo is a makeup free Muse. As you can see my face is a bit dull, circles under my eyes, tired looking eyes, a few spots on my face, and my skin just isn’t looking amazing.

After a dusting of Benefit Hello Flawless! you can begin to see a bit of better looking skin but a bit more is needed.

After a full application of the powder my skin is absolutely perfect! Spots are gone, dark circles and tired eyes are brighter, the dullness of my skin is left glowing and beautiful!

Overall, I’m truly in love with Benefit Hello Flawless! and quite happy to Muse Approve it for purchase. You seriously need to give this one a try as it’s a winner. I’m looking forward to using this as my primary foundation come the Summer and I’m particularly delighted that even though it’s Winter and my skin is quite dry that I’m still able to take full advantage and look beautiful and gorgeous without any flaky grossness. Any certain dullness was quickly erased and I was left looking flawless.

Hi! I just started reading your blog about a month ago, and have been going back to past reviews. I started using Hello Flawless! about two months ago, and I am AMAZED. Over the summer I survived by mixing “That Girl” primer with my Smashbox Sheer Focus Tinted Moisturizer and applying with a sponge, but as soon as September hit I needed more coverage! I still start with my usual combo, but then layer Hello Flawless! over it with either the brush or a sponge depending on my blemish situation at that time. I love love love love love it! I can’t believe we went so long without a product as awesome as this.

I am starting a review blog for all things including makeup, and I will for sure one day review Hello Flawless to help spread the word of its amazingness!

    Thanks for the awesome reviews!

This is the first powder/concealer/foundation sort of product that I’ve ever actually used up and purchased more of–typically I buy something and just don’t like it and move on to something else. I wore this for my outdoor wedding in June and looked fresh throughout all my pictures (and was the only one who didn’t get totally sunburnt). I work in a hospital and during the height of the “swine flu pandemic,” we were going through tons of those disposable respirator masks, and they were completely wreaking havoc on my skin. The area around my nose and mouth was totally red and broken out. My “before and after” Hello Flawless transformation was so drastic, once I put the product on nobody ever would have guessed that I was having such awful skin issues. Love it!

After such a fabulous review I had to get me some of this Hello Fabulous, and the first thing I said when I put it on was “Hello…where have you been all my life!?” Just like you said this provides great coverage. I actually went back to touch up a pesky blemish a few hours after applying this and it looked better than it did when I first put it on! Thank goodness for your fab blog and before and after photos or I don’t think I would’ve tried this product!

Wow, another product I would have never looked twice at that I now feel i MUST have because of you, LOL
No, really though- Sometimes when I’m browsing in Sephora I pass products that I don’t know what they do and they don’t look like much so I pay no attention. If it wasn’t for reviews like this I’d never know if it was something I could really use (or not use)

Thanks so much for your advice to go out and buy Benefit Hello Flawless……I have really, really struggled to find a foundation that suits me. I am nearly 50 and have a few hormonal blotches plus some sun damage from nearly 10 years of living in Spain but I wanted a foundation that looked “invisible” but covered everything and didn’t look like a mask (bit of a tall order, I know!). I have tried pretty much every brand and the last one I tried was Chanel Vitalumiere (v. expensive!) – which was the best of a bad bunch…..Then this morning I went to the Benefit counter at a local department store and asked the lady to try the Hello Flawless on me. It looked really good but it was a make up girl doing it…. Anyway, I bought it and kept my fingers crossed. When I got home I took all my makeup off and tried to do it myself…….so easy! It really felt so light, like I was putting nothing on at all – but it covered everything. It is a million times better than the Laura Mercier mineral make up that I tried last year….I am a very happy bunny – so many thanks!!

I noticed you said there was no talc listed as an ingredient. I purchased this (Ivory color) and it does have talc listed as an ingredient on the box. Now I am not sure whether to try it or take it back….sigh…
