Rumor Has It Maybelline Color Sensational Pop Sticks Will Be Back for Summer 2012, Will You Welcome Them Back with Open Arms?

I heard a whisper in the wind that Maybelline Color Sensational Pop Sticks will be back for Summer 2012 in new shades.

Are you ready to welcome them back into your makeup life?

Burp, meh…unless they improved on the formula I’d rather indulge in Clarins Crystal Lip Balms. Maybelline got these down so right in terms of packaging, price, and just the overall idea but the formula turned out damn crummy…!

I hope whatever plots and plans they have for a Summer release includes brewing up a new formula.

Happy about the return?

Loved them the first time around?

Left ‘em?

Do share!

P.S. They have gone worldwide if you’re in the UK check your local Boots for them as they are launching across the pond from what I understand!

I seem to march to the tune of my own drummer, or rather, my lips do, because I often have success with lip products that register as a meh or even fail with others.

For instance, the baby lips products, also by Maybelline, are a total win for me. Not so much for others.

Similarly, I bought only one of these last year (the one pictured on the left in the picture above) and it was great for me. So, yes, I will definitely explore the other shades.

The Clarins ones also look great too, but I obviously like the price of the Maybelline pop sticks better.

I didn’t really understand the point of these the first time.. I guess because they had like.. no pigmentation… they sure are pretty to look at.. but if they were more functional.. THEN I might swoop one or two… I’m pretty addicted to my beloved Peach Parfait Revlon Lip Butter though, at the moment.. peachy pink with gold sparkle > funky not so great pretty looking lip balm wannabe any day.

Although the formula left a bit to be desired, they weren’t the worst lip product I’ve ever tried. I’d definitely consider buying more if they do come back to drugstores.

Nah, I wasn’t a fan of them the first time around so I probably won’t be buying one. The formula was a bit weird and it felt like I had an odd waxy buildup on my lips. Plus the lack of pigmentation pretty much made this product useless to me since I have naturally darker lips and it offered no other benefits.

I really like the lippie that I have from this collection, so I’m glad they might come out with them again. The formula is pretty ok the way it is, but it could stand for a bit of improvement, like maybe a bit more pigment.

I thought it was more like rubbing a stick of wax on my lips! I can’t believe I kept this in my makeup bag for a month – maybe just to pull out to admire (oooh it’s transparent) and take a whiff to wake myself up (oooh the smell).

If they smell just as good as the first time, I might have to pick up another one!

I’m hoping with a new formula because Maybelline has just been bringin’ it lately. Come to think of it, a lot of drugstore brands have stepped up their game, L’Oreal, Revlon, even Wet n’ Wild.

I’m happy enough with the one I bought, I wasn’t expecting a whole lot. However, I can’t say that I need to buy another one. I’ve not used the first one bunches.

I’ll pass. I read in a forum somewhere, though, that the UK Pop Sticks were much nicer. Curious….

If they do come out again, will you be reviewing the new ones? At least to see if the formula has changed? If they improve the formula for them, I ‘d buy a crapload of ‘em because I think they’re just lovely to look at but I do kinda like to *wear* my makeup…. at least some times… and not just look at it! :D

I waited for reviews and when I heard they were a bummer I passed. I hope they improved them then I might buy one, because they are so pretty, and if they moisturized a bit and gave a nice bit of color they would be a total win!

Thank God u made sense out of it…it seems like noone is acknowledging the fact that these were a last year limited edition product (that I thought did bad, but then it also seemed like every cosmetic co. under the sun was doing some kind of dupe!) idk, like I said thank u for clearing that up for me, I thought when I seen people saying they were launching and then also had different names and some sparkly one, I could only come up with “maybe there doing this in another country…one that didn’t get them last year!
