Lorac Pro Powder Cheek Stain Review & Swatches
It’s a bit early for Fall 2012 but the new Lorac Pro Powder Cheek Stain is ideal for Summer as who doesn’t want a long wearing blush for the warmer weather?
Available in six shades ($20) Pro Powder Cheek Stain is a new blush that promises 12 hours of wear.
Does it last that long?
I must admit I never have issues with my blush wearing away under normal activity. In other words if I’m heading to work, out with friends afterwards, and getting home late, my blush pretty much wears through that time period so indeed I do get at least eight to twelve hours of wear.
Don’t get me wrong on occasion I do run into a crummy brush formula that completely fades away within a few hours but that’s quite rare.
My point being I’m not really sure if I need a blush marketed for twelve hours of wear since my drier skin seems to hold my blush in place just fine. However, I do think the promise of twelve hours will be appealing to oily skin users or just someone who feels her blush doesn’t stay as vibrant or fade proof as the day progresses.
That being said….
Lorac’s Pro Powder Cheek Stain may sound and look familiar to you. That would be because it kinda reminds me of It Cosmetics Vitality Cheek Flush Powder Blush Stain however, it’s far easier to apply.
Although crazy pigmented the blush has a natural finish when applied with a lighter hand. Coral Crush, the shade I tried, is a vibrant shade of glistening peachy pink coral that has a glowing finish. The blush lacks shimmer or sparkle but does have a sheen that gives cheeks a soft focused glow.
The blush is very pigment and has full color pay off. You’ll want to use a lighter hand during application to avoid clown cheeks. It applies and blends out considerably easier than It Cosmetics Blush. I’m not entirely sure why this is but it just seems like the blush has a lighter texture. Even with a heavier hand I was able to sheer out the blush to a natural finish.
As far as twelve hours goes….my blush lasted beyond that as my day ran about 15 hours with a ton of running around when I wore it and I had no issues. I did take note it looked as fresh during hour 15 as it did during first application.
Overall, Lorac Pro Powder Cheek Stain is a richly pigmented blush with a good deal of pop. The formula proves easy to work with and the wear is excellent. Only thing I’d change? A few more shades to choose from as for us beauty junkies, six, is never enough right?
