Flower Win Some, Rouge Some Creme Blush Review & Swatches
Flower by Drew Barrymore is getting its fair share of media this month. I picked up the Flower Win Some, Rouge Some Creme Blush on Walmart’s site recently and decided to give it a try over the last few days.
The new Flower Makeup Collection is quite a range of products with a nice budget price. I was a little worried going into my purchases as I didn’t expect it to win my attention by wow, I was impressed.
I didn’t have the will or the time to head to my evil empire Walmart to pick up any of the new Flower Collection so I shopped it at Walmart.com. Shipping was free, it arrives within two days, and I didn’t have to tackle heading into the store which for me is life changing (I hate Walmart with a passion).
As I mentioned above I was a little worried about the Flower Makeup Collection. You never know what to expect from Walmart….so I went into the purchase with some wariness. The Flower Win Some, Rouge Some Creme Blush is available in six shades for $7.98 each. I’m not really a big cream blush user but after trying (and loving) this formula I’ll be picking up more very soon!
Flower is not tested on animals for those concerned about the issue and is made in the USA.
This is a 0.14 oz size of blush so for the price you’re getting a nice bit of product. The actual blush compact is tiny, about the size of a MAC Eyeshadow. The packaging is very cute and refreshing. It has a rose gold overlay and a white surrounding compact. The blush is about the size of a shadow pan, perhaps a little bigger than a quarter. This size makes it easy to use with finger tips but not so nice a size for those who prefer using a brush since the tiny pan might prove a pain to dip a brush into.
The blush has a light, creamy texture that applies and blends like a dream. It dries down to a silky soft finish that gives a super healthy glow on cheeks. It can be used sheer or easily built up for more pop. It wears for anywhere from five to six hours on my drier skin without a touch up needed between that time. I love the creamy texture, I love how easily it applies, and I love how natural it looks on my skin.
The shade I choose was Elegant Azalea which is a rosy pink with excellent pigmentation.
Overall, I was VERY impressed. As I mentioned I don’t typically like cream blushes but this formula sold me. It’s under ten dollars, applies amazingly well, and has a lightweight beautiful finish that gives my skin the look of health and vitality.
I do recommend picking up a few shades. Even if you dislike cream blushes I think you’ll love this one.
Well done Drew. If the entire Flower line is as good as this blush you have a brand new fan girl on your hands.
