MAC Archie’s Girls Lipstick Review & Swatches
LOVING two of the MAC Archie’s Girl Lipsticks that I got my hands on this week. Lipsticks a plenty around here but I can always use more and these two shades are must haves in my opinion.
Which shades do you have your eye on from the MAC Archie’s Girls Collection?
As for me, the winner goes to Oh, Oh, Oh and Ronnie Red. The lipsticks come in a white tube and feature printed Betty or Veronica faces on each. MAC thankfully didn’t use stickers in the art’s creation so thankfully these won’t peel off.
It’s funny that I ended up liking a Betty shade and a Veronica one as I thought for sure I’d prefer Betty’s lighter shades but Veronica has her share of lovely bolds.
MAC Ronnie Red is a bright matte red. I’d never know it was matte to be honest as the color has a creamy texture and finish versus a drying matte one. Color is true to tube with a creamy formula that applies easily onto lips and leaves behind full color coverage. The shade is bold, dramatic, and pops non stop on my lips. The brighter shade appears blue based but has a warmer finish on my mouth. I like this shade almost as much as I loved the Marilyn reds. It wears very strong throughout the day and fades at around hour five to a reddish flush on my mouth.
Oh, Oh, Oh is a Lustre finish with a hint of a sheen and again, an excellent pigmentation. Although sheerer at first application it builds easily to a fuller pigmented pount. The color is a brownish plum with a bit of rosiness on due to my lip’s natural pigmentation. For some reason the color very so slightly reminds me of Chanel’s Captivante. I can see myself getting a ton of use out of the color. It wears very comfortably as well, with a light buttery feel on my lips.
If you’re hauling lipsticks from the MAC Archie’s Girl Collections don’t miss these two.
