Lancome Baume in Love Sheer Tinted Lipbalm Review & Swatches
Lancome recently introduced their Baume in Love Sheer Tinted Lipbalm for Spring 2013 in four different shades which will be available for a limited time.
This darling balms are testimony to Lancome’s reach out to a younger crowd of makeup users however, at $26 each they do make my wallet cringe slightly.
Take a look!
I admit I didn’t mind paying $26 each for these as I adore the formula however, I’d suggest purchasing a single shade NOT all of them. The shades all look very similar on lips considering the formula is incredibly sheer so do keep that in mind when purchasing.
I think Baume in Love is definitely a statement by Lancome that they are leaning towards gathering the attention of a younger crowd of makeup users. Don’t get me wrong, Lancome has a strong makeup base with some very good products but as of late they have been releasing fresher and more fun products and Baume in Love just feels like one of those products.
Old or young one wonders what Lancome is thinking with this price tag. I mean NARS new Satin Lip Pencils offer full color coverage and each one is $25 each versus these simple, sheer lip balms at $26? I’m not seeing the mentality behind that price tag at all. I actually said the same thing about their Blush in Love.
On the upside perhaps you’ll feel better that they paid very special care and attention with the packaging here. These come in a weighty silver tube. Inside each tube is a pretty little heart emblem, you have to stare directly into the tube of the balm to see it, very cute little feature!
These have a faint fruity citrus taste and a lightweight balmy texture which provides a sheer flush of color on lips. They give my lips a pink flush with a high sheen finish that keeps the skin of my lips hydrated and soft throughout the wear. Truly the formula is quite luxurious and quite the upscale balm if ever I did see one. They are virtually weightless on my lips and very soothing and comfortable to wear. That near $30 price tag isn’t looking all that bad after all…maybe!

Not only do they add a touch of color but they also kinda work what you momma already gave you by enhancing your lip’s own natural pigment with a more natural flush of color.
Overall, I must admit Baume in Love is a VERY well made lip balm. I think they are slightly disappointing considering all the shades look very similiar and the price tag does indeed hurt my wallet. But on the upside the gorgeous packaging and the formula proves these are a gorgeous treat for lips!
Against my better judgement, due to the price of a simple balm, I am Muse Approving these. They are possibly one of the most luxuriously formulated balms I own!

Do love!
If anything I’d go with the Midnight Rose shade (worn above) if you want the best pigment!
Anyone try these?
