Wet n Wild Megalast Liquid Lip Color Review & Swatches
Wet n Wild Megalast Liquid Lip Color has gotten it’s round of blogsphere reviews and I have to say some of those surprised me. After reading them I left the scene feeling like I hadn’t tried the same product as some of these reviewers had. Wet n Wild Megalast Liquid Lip Color is just a hot mess of a product that I really didn’t love.
Take a look!
Wet n Wild Megalast Liquid Lip Color come in a wide array of luxuriously pigmented reds, berries, pinks, and mauves. This is fact their biggest draw! The pigment is incredible here. Colors are intense and offer full color on lips with a single stroke. It doesn’t really surprise me as Wet n Wild doesn’t skimp on pigment when it comes to some of their products however, these truly go above and beyond the call of duty. At first glance I thought how many of the shades and just the formula in general could possibly be some sort of dupe for Chanel Dragon Rouge Allure Laque and at merely $3 bucks each.
But take that off the table because aside from the pigmentation I personally dislike the formula in a major way.
These are truly a strong wearing once they set so you will need some sort of makeup remover to get them off and even than they leave behind a staining effect. I’d say they would be able to last you at least eight hours. I say “would” because I’m unsure who could honestly get through that long a wear with them. They have a thicker consistency and apply easily enough. They set within a minute of application and after that they do not migrate, feather, or move. The problem is once they set they tighten on lips and they feel god awful drying. Seriously they suck all moisture from my lips and leave behind a rather matte, uncomfortable lipstick that feels tight and heavy on my mouth. As the wear progresses they do crack a bit which isn’t a pleasant look. They do not transfer though….

If you can get past the dryness you MIGHT like how gorgeous they look on lips. They truly are a very beautiful full coverage lip product. I personally cannot cope with the dryness and I feel like they are suffocating my mouth once they set. I’ve read a variety of reviews that recommend a balm under them, etc…etc…etc..but I’ve tried a few application methods and all result in a very tight, matte, soul sucking dryness that just wasn’t comfortable to me.
Do not like.
Ace on the pigment Wet n Wild and good job on the long wear but the formula has a long way to being lightweight and comfortable to wear!
