Sephora CC Eye Cream Concealer Review & Swatches

Sephora CC Eye Cream Concealer

I’m always slightly wary of products like Sephora CC Eye Cream + Concealer simply because they combine too many benefits into one formula. If you recall earlier last year I tried out a product similar to Sephora CC Eye Cream from Ole Henriksen entitled Perfect Truth CC Eye Creme which I wasn’t terribly impressed with.

I sorta kinda feel the same about Sephora CC Eye Cream Concealer.

Sephora CC Eye Cream Concealer promises a complete eye cream as well as coverage in one formula. I’ve used it for two weeks myself so the claims of it minimizing the appearance of dark circles, puffiness, and smoothing fine lines I can’t really speak of as maybe, over time, it will do just that but thus far I’m not terribly impressed.

This comes in a single universal shade that adapts to any skintone but honestly, that likely isn’t happening. It’s a soft beige at first application but lightens to a creamy ivory on my skin tone after application. I find the texture pleasant but not moisturizing enough as an eye cream particularly because I have drier eyes. It applies easily without tugging and has a soft satiny finish that doesn’t crease into finer lines. Unfortunately, it’s too sheer to act as a concealer and the CC, color correcting, benefits aren’t all that great for minimizing the appearance of dark circles.

Sephora CC Eye Cream Concealer might be a good starting point for very young eyes that don’t need a ton of coverage. Unfortunately aging eyes, drier eyes, and eyes in need of good coverage won’t like this formula. Unfortunately this doesn’t provide adequate moisture if you have drier eyes and it isn’t pigmented enough for those pesky dark circles or tired eyes. As of now the formula brightens slightly, wears a solid five hours without creasing, but doesn’t do much to improve upon issues that concern me like concealing, moisture, or even treating puffiness.

It’s a nice idea combining the benefits of an eye cream with a concealer but unfortunately I think eye cream and concealers are one trick ponies with benefits that can’t really be combined in most cases. Although a good idea Sephora CC Eye Cream Concealer isn’t for someone like me! I need a richer eye cream and more concealer coverage unfortunately. But if you desire lighter coverage and eye cream you might just like this.

Just a thought: They need to have more eye creams and eye products with SPF in it.

This just looks like a tinted moisturizer packaged as a CC. They jumped on the CC cream wagon and just repackaged it. Seems like tinted mositizers became BB creams and now are CC creams.

Hi Musey, any particular (sheer-ish) concealer you’d suggest for touching up during the day?

Both the color and I do need more moisture around my eyes too!

Thank you for saving me some money.

Just an idea. If you’ve never reviewed Dermdoctor DD cream, I wish you’d try it. I have had such good results! Makes my skin so smooth.

That’s too bad it doesn’t totally cover under eye circles. I may try it anyway, as I have slight undereye circles and the price point is alright.

oooh may be worth a try! I always use eye cream under my concealer anyway so I don’t mind that. now if it stays on all day without creasing, this will do :) anyone else give it a shot?
