Ole Henriksen Perfect Truth CC Eye Creme Review & Swatches

Ole Henriksen Perfect Truth CC Eye Creme

Ole Henriksen Perfect Truth CC Eye Creme targets the CC Cream market for eyes! Perfect Truth CC Eye Creme Broad Spectrum SPF 15 is one of the first CC Creams for your eyes that I’ve seen launch in the US.

I must admit I was thrilled by the idea of this being a concealer junkie and all!

This multitasking eye cream promises to correct problem areas under the eye while illuminating, protecting, and getting you your daily dose of moisture with five sources of Vitamin C and tripeptide-5 blended with ceremides and odium hyaloranate to reduce fine lines while evening out skin tone.

Let’s take a look!

This comes in a single natural tinted shade that will work for a range of light to medium skin tones. It’s VERY, very sheer so no worries about it being a complete match as you won’t get a ton of coverage from it. It comes in a tiny tube with a slanted tip applicator should you like to apply directly from the packaging!

I must address a few things in my review before I babble on. I only tried it for a little over a week now so I can’t speak for whether or not my eyes are brighter, dark circles eased, fine lines blurred, etc…I have yet to experience any of those benefits and would need more time to truly see any difference I imagine.

I will however, address a few things here that are important.

The idea behind this is a great one. It’s supposed to act as a corrector, protects with a whooping SPF 15, and preps eyes for concealer. Yes, you will most definitely need to follow up with concealer as this is too sheer to really conceal major issues such as dark circles, puffiness, finer lines, etc…

I love the idea it contains such a high level of SPF. It’s such a rarity for eye creams to contain SPF.

The consistency is a creamy texture with a soft, smooth dry down. It isn’t terribly hydrating but provides some moisture but not nearly as much as an eye cream would. As a corrector or a CC Cream I think it disappoints. It doesn’t really conceal or blur darkness which is something it should do considering they market it as a CC Cream style product. CC Creams are supposed to offer correction abilities and in my experience with this I can’t say I experienced that.

I think the idea is great. I think the range of ingredients is wonderful especially the excellent source of Vitamin C. BUT I think the price, the size, and the correcting abilities are a sore disappointment. This is $26 for 0.25 oz, it comes in a tube that looks like a small trial size. That’s quite costly. Over time if it helps ease fine lines and brighten my eyes area I might be comfortable splurging that much again but at the moment I’m only seeing the benefit of the SPF in the formula as the correcting abilities aren’t that great since the product is so sheer.

I’d love to say this blew my mind…but I feel like I could indulge in a high end eye cream at this price that might be more beneficial. Especially considering another eye cream I’d be able to make use of in the AM and PM where as this is limited to AM use since it is tinted.

It’s up for debate at this point as I will continue to use in the hopes that it proves me wrong but as of now I’m feeling like it’s a touch too expensive.

Tried it?

Love to hear your thoughts!

I purchased this item.

Muse, I’m confused. The box says SPF15, your review says SPF30.
