Missha Misa Geumsul Vitalizing BB Cake is a new compact BB Cream foundation with buildable coverage that promises an anti-aging formula which brightens, protects, and creates flawless skin.

Take a look!

Missha Misa Geumsul Vitalizing BB Cake can easily be mistaken for the newer cushion foundation we’ve been seeing as it comes in the same chunky compact packaging as those. However, it is not a cushion makeup! This is a cream to powder foundation or bb cream if you will.

It comes in a stunning compact. If you have the Missha Air-Fit Magic Cushion Case this is even more elegant than that and matches up with the Missha Geumsul Vitalizing Stick Eye Cream packaging. The compact is chunky and a golden beige shade with a gold lame floral design. It’s really a very pretty presentation. It does feature a dual lid so the outer lid seals shut and inside another lid snaps close to keep the cream fresh. Inside you’ll find a generously sized mirror and a rubber puff for application.

I have drier skin but I’m not a fan of cream cake foundations as they are typically cream to powder formulas as is this one. I find they accentuate my drier skin and feel a bit too heavy on. This is quite thick and does set to a matte, shine free finish. The consistency isn’t slick but has a nice creaminess that allows to product to apply and blend without tugging. It has a seamless finish once applied and looks very smooth and very even. I find the consistency reminds me some what of Missha’s Signature Extreme Cover Concealer but it is a bit denser.

Right now, this is a fine for my slightly oily Summer skin. It’s very long wearing even in humidity this stuff wears like a champ and I can get a solid six hours out of before I see very, very minor fading. It has a very smooth finish on my skin. I have some oiliness right now around my t-zone so forehead, around my noses, chin. However, I have a little dryness on my cheeks but the finish is very smooth. The visible pores on my nose are completely invisible once I applied this as well. Unfortunately, the shade, #21, wasn’t quite a match for my skin tone so I did have a little chalkiness going on and I had to be sure to blend out well and not use too much to avoid it looking unnatural on my skin tone. It provides a good deal of shine control as well as I saw considerably less oiliness through the day.

Apparently it contains oriental herbal ingredients for healthy, glowing skin and something called Baby Pixel powder to help control sebum and oil balance.

I know my skin will simply hate this when it gets considerably drier in the Winter as although it has a thin, creamier consistency I imagine it won’t look as smooth on extra dry skin!

If you have oily skin I do see Missha Misa Geumsul Vitalizing BB Cake as being a hit. The cream to powder finish, brightening ability, and crazy long wear with excellent shine control makes it a perfect pick for those that combat shine and oil daily.

Hi, I have this in 21 and in 13 (for fair and light skin, bought online from Korea). I have combination ski with dry cheeks and an oily T-zone, and this is perfect, does not look dry at all on my cheeks. For me, it is a dream come true – my beloved Missha BB cream in a pretty mirrored compact, one will be for my handbag. — I do not use the included puff but apply it either with a stippling brush or with the Shiseido small dense foundation brush. All in all, I am so happy with this find and plan to continue to use it also when the weather gets colder.

I’m good with it right now, very flawless, airbrushed finish 🙂 doesn’t stick to drier areas and keeps shine at bay. However, I think it might prove too heavy for Winter for me as my skin goes really dry in the cold weather so I fear this might not work but looking forward to testing and hopefully it works just as well as it is now 😀

Hello again, thank you Muse for reviewing this (at last, lol). I was so surprised that I could not find any review for this gem and thought (as I always do, when I find something really GREAT) that it might be discontinued (how I hate that word …).
