Bliss Fabulips Pout-o-matic Spa Powered Lip-Perfecting System Review

Bliss Fabulips Pout o Matic

The Bliss Fabulips Pout-o-matic Spa Powered Lip-Perfecting System ($48) is an exfoliating lip tool that sounds rather gimmicky! When Bliss originally introduced the Pout-o-matic I remember thinking, “Hmmm do I really need a tool to exfoliate my lips?”

Turns out I do.

Bliss Fabulips Pout O Matic Set

Sure, the Bliss Fabulips Pout-o-matic Spa Powered Lip-Perfecting System sounds like an utter gimmick but actually it works amazingly well. I typically buy a dense tooth brush and use it along with an exfoliating lip scrub to exfoliate my lips. My lips chap easily and are almost always dry (especially lately) and flaky. It’s NOT very pretty when you apply lipstick on top of drier, flakier lips.

Bliss Fabulips scrub

The Pout-o-Matic comes as a set which includes the exfoliating tool as well as a full size Fabulips Sugar Lip Scrub. The beautiful thing about the Pout-o-Matic is the fact it’s so gently. I think I do myself more harm than good when I use a toothbrush to exfoliate my already dry, raw, red lips. This looks like an electronic toothbrush but it’s a little shorter in size. It’s a rotary device that runs on two batteries and has a soft custom head with small massaging numbs that gently exfoliate lips. At first I thought that it would do the same job my toothbrush does already. But nope! This is far more gentle yet still effectively removes flaky, drier areas and gives you back smooth lips again. The head actually spins quite quickly and although not rough it still exfoliates lips beautifully. I simply rub a bit of the Fabulips Scrub on lips and I proceed to go over the area with the exfoliating head. You can slowly massage your lips with it for 30 to 60 seconds, wipe excess scrub off after, and follow up with your favorite moisturizing lip balm.

I’ve started using it at night and prior to lipstick in the morning too. It removes flakes and makes my lips super smooth and soft! I love they included the Fabulips Sugar Lip Scrub with this set because it’s the ideal scrub to use with the tool considering it’s a very refined scrub and has a light, barely there citrus flavor. The Fabulips Scrub contains sugar and fine graines of almonds and walnuts to exfoliate plus jojoba oil, shea butter, and cocoa butter to hydrate.

Used together this set is a powerhouse system to get your dry lips super smooth and soft again.

It’s a little pricey at $48 but now that I’ve used it I’m not sure how I loved without it!

The Bliss Fabulips Pout-o-matic Spa Powered Lip-Perfecting System is the perfect gift for those with drier lips (or for yourself)!

Loves it!

It’s available now at Bliss Spas, Sephora, Sephora.com, and www.blissworld.com.

Oh my! The things they invent. I am gonna skip this tool for sure (can I not just use my Oral B toothbrush also on my lips?- lmao) But thank you for the heads up! 😉

Use my Clarisonic for my lips & it works. If lips are real gunky or really dry, will use my tooth brush. IMO this looks a little gimmicky.

Ok, I too use a toothbrush on my lips and find it works fine. My 3 year old has insanely chapped lips and she is constantly picking at them which drives me crazy! I’ve started using a toothbrush on her lips and she loves it. I think I”m going to buy her this as an Xmas gift and I’m pretty sure she’s going to love it! Yes, my kiddo is pretty savvy lol

i use one too evilyn! This is a little more gentle for me and still very effective 🙂 she’ll likely get a kick out of it as it tickles a little 😀

Ahhhh, I’m so glad you reviewed this!! I’ve been thinking about getting it for a while and now you’ve sold me! I’ve got full lips that I have a terrible habit of biting, which means they’re a little patchy and dry sometimes. I use Lush lip scrubs and lip balm like there’s no tomorrow but never liked how abrasive toothbrushes feel, so I think this is right up my alley! 😀 Yay!

i use a toothbrush myself but I think I’m doing more bad than good at times. This is nice and soft yet still dense enough to whisk away dryness 😀 bliss has a lot of sales at the moment so you might be able to catch a deal 😀
