MAC Kindergarten Red Blush Ombre Review & Swatches
MAC Kindergarten Red Blush Ombre is a new, limited edition blush that launched with the MAC Toledo Collection for Spring 2015. There are a total of three MAC Blush Ombre shades that launched with the collection, two of which are repromoted where as Kindergarten Red is a new shade and quite a unique one. When it launched for purchase earlier in the week I thought for sure it would be the first to sell out but it still available for purchase.
Let’s take a look!
MAC Kindergarten Red Blush Ombre ($32) this comes housed in a square plastic compact with no mirror! I was surprised by the of mirror in all honesty but it doesn’t take away from the cute, quirky design.
MAC Kindergarten Red Blush Ombre is described as a crimson blush by MAC and it does have some redness to it but for the most part it’s a cooler, darker shade of pink. I think it’s a shade that will pull differently for everyone depending on your skin tone. Personally it looks like a bright pink on my cheeks!

It does have a very dense texture. This doesn’t translate as being dry but I do find it difficult to get the blush onto my brush due to the texture! You can see how sheer it swatches in my photos below, it’s just a shade that proves difficult to pick up! The good news is it applies well and looks pretty nice on with a soft luminosity that’s very pretty. I feel like the Ombre Blushes in this collection can’t really be over done due to the density of the formula and that proves a good thing for heavy handed folks like myself!
MAC Kindergarten Red Blush Ombre isn’t quite as unique as I thought it would be and I do wish the formula was a bit more finely milled and softer but I can’t deny it applies beautifully and looks very nice once applied.
MAC Kindergarten Red Blush Ombre is on counters now or on nordstrom.com.
