Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Contour Palette

Still time to save 15% at Sephora this week so my things I might need list has been update to include the Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Contour Palette because, well, you know, I have to OWN every single Kat Von Eyeshadow Palette right?

That’s a good as excuse as any.

The Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Contour Palette takes on something a little tamer for Summer looks with neutral, cool, and warm matte shades that play on light to create the perfect contoured eye.

Define and enhance eyes with three color quads of shadow in neutral, cool, and warm shades that are universally flattering on any skin tone.

Three larger base eyeshadows are arranged together with coordinating powders to contour, define, and highlight eyes! Plus a handy contouring guide with step by step instructions will have you achieving the perfect nude, natural eye look with a few easy steps!

Shades include:

  • Base shades in Laetus (creamy nude), Lazarus (cool taupe), Ludwin (peachy bronze)
  • Contour shades in Samael (dusty fawn), Saleos (smoky brown), Succubus (rich rust)
  • Define shades in Solas (espresso brown), Shax (jet black), Sytry (chocolate brown)
  • Highlight shades in Lucius (soft beige), Liberatus (pinkish ivory), Latinus (golden bisque)
  • Step-by-step contouring guide

My other excuse for this purchase? My Kat Von D Shade + Light Contour Palette will be lonely without. Legit reason right?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I bought this a couple weeks ago. It’s amazing! You will not be disappointed 🙂

Ooooo goody! I ordered this sight unseen and it should be here tomorrow! Very excited to get it and play with it!

I picked this up over a week ago and unfortunately it’s going back to the store. While the shadows are creamy and pigmented they are definitely dupable. And for me personally at that price they better be something I don’t already own.

I have to say I’m disappointed with Sephora lately. Everytime I have a coupon or gift certificate and a “definite want”, they don’t have it.
I tried to order Givenchy Le Prisme Vissage Color Confetti (sold out never even made it to Sephora), then I wanted a NARS wet/dry brush to go with the blush I got – they don’t sell it.
they don’t have the new UD stuff and I’m lemming a gloss and blush.
Half the time the only samples they have are fragrance – great for those of us who can’t use them.

Oh man, sorry for the rant. What I meant to say is:

I picked this up at Sephora for 15% off. It was basically on a whim because it got great reviews. I was hoping that the colors aren’t colors from her previous palettes because I have quite a few of them.

I should be receiving my package today. I’m really looking forward to the NARS duo intensity blush in Adoration – I hope I love it.

The new UD stuff just showed up today on the Sephora website. There a few glosses I’m drooling over myself

For my birthday I asked the BF for the Kat Von D contour pallete, and like the good boy he is I got both that and the eye contour pallete. They are both beautiful, silky, and so much fun to play with!

I know I have pslettes and MAC eyeshadows that are similar but I could not help myself, I felt I needed it and I got it yesterday.

I have this palette, and it wrieks!!! It smells like chemical, production, or packaging. It smells so bad I can’t even wear it on my face. Idk if all her products smell like that, if it’ll go away, or if I got a bad batch. I aired it out in front of a fan for 2 days and it still smells. I may return this for the Too Faced Natural Eye Matte palette. That’s the only disappointment I’ve had with this.

You made me curious so I pulled mine out to smell it does have a slight chemical smell but nothing offensive (I have extremely sensitive eyes and have not had any problems with this palette).
I purchased the too faced natural matte palette also but I am taking that one back, the pigmentation is not very good.
