About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I love mascara, too. I have blonde lashes so, for me, a quick shot of mascara adds a big pop. Also, I don’t have a lot of eyelid real estate to show off shadows, so mascara is where I get my drama.

I have grown rather fond of L’Oreal Miss Manga for every day wear. My old standby, though, is Tarte; I love both Gifted and LCL. They just know how to get it right.

Mascara and lipsticks are my faves in the world of make up. They’re the only two things I can’t really mess up ( unless I sneeze just after applying a fresh coat, or put on a nasty color line stick that ends up on my teeth or looks like crap)

I’m jealous! 150 mascaras in rotation! I’ve five full size mascaras I’m trying to use up so July -August I rotate everyday.

Fave so far is Tarte ( the purple covered one ).

I’m the same as Gillie, I’ve got half blonde/half brown lashes so mascara is pretty essential. Mascara and blush are my favourite parts of makeup. =)

Too Faced’s Better Than Sex, Maybelline Lash Sensational, and Maybelline The Falsies are my favourite mascaras. I need to find great cruelty free alternatives to Maybelline, though. =/ The Shiseido lash serum and laura geller dramalash mascara look great.

oh muse, this is ME! current faves: MUA smoky stretch, ciate, too faced better than sex, guerlain, UD cannonball, laura gellar stylelash, rimmel (kate moss one), tarte wp lcl, blinc amplified, stretchex, stila huge extreme/mile high, IT primer…those are just the top of the rotation right now. :]

it makes lashes HUGE. huge! it’s a slightly wetter formula, so i like to comb it through the fronts of the lashes on both eyes first, then use a spoolie on the tips, comb it through the tips of the back, again through the front and spoolie along the way. very dark formula, definitely curls lashes up, and has huge impact. took a couple times for me to find my system, but it’s a go-to for when i want drama fast! :]
