About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Just bought mine – WOOT! I might have missed out on the Naked Vault by less than an hour, but I got this one 🙂

  • mary brenner

Is it just me or is it semi insane that makeup has reached some crazy price points? I love makeup and I would never judge anyone for how they choose to spend their money but 595 bucks for eyeshadow seems crazy to me. …*drops mic and runs for cover*

    • simone

I agree- some price points are out of control. I mean, 100 dollar lippies?!
But at under 9 bucks/per shadow- if you are actually going to use these- its completely worth it.

    • Vicious Trollop

Dude, it’s insane. When I saw the Naked Vault last week and the price, my reaction was WHO IS GOING TO PAY THAT MUCH MONEY??? …only to find out it was already sold out. Instantly. Seeing $600 makeup just blows my mind; unless you are a make-up artist, there is no way anyone is going to use all that. I guess you could buy it to illegally re-sell the shadows individually and make twice the money, but other than that…

      • Sharna

It may seem insane but those of us who love makeup she you compare the price of the mother lode and the naked vault its actually a steal versus buying each color separately since you save money. i mean my fiancé as an early christmas gift got me all the naked palettes and they were over $200 for all of them from macys whereas the naked vault is about $50 or so dollars cheaper so in the long run its worth it if you love makeup and will use it i personally love makeup and will use it and i enjoy collecting it.

  • Cindy

    I WANT IT!!!!!!!! NOW!!! 🙂
If i would win the lottery i def want to buy it, but unfortunately no money for it. But it’s a good deal.

  • Lisa

I was very close to buying this but when I went through my palettes, I realized that I already have most of the colors and there were very few left that I actually did want. The ones that I really want aren’t included here. Instead of including the Vice colors, I wish they would have included the newer shades likes Sideline.

  • danadoo

Oh God, if i was a rich girl i would buy this in a heartbeat, and the eyeliner vault too! I’d create a different look every day of the year! I’m sooooo jealous of anyone lucky enough to own this!

  • kellly

$600 for eyeshadows. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA as if buying that would keep me from ever spending another cent on another eyeshadow as long as I live? No way. As soon as something else came out that I HAD to have, I’d be turning my wallet inside out to get the latest and greatest that was so totally different from any of the other 1000 shadows I already have. I don’t think this is happening for me.

    • Janelle

LOL right? When I saw this and the naked vault I wanted it (for some reason I have every single eyeshadow on the planet but like not UD). I thought it was a great deal, but then I realized that there would be another latest and greatest that I would have to have!

Recently, I have been giving my unopened makeup and gently used things to local non-profits that help women return to the workforce, young ladies be able to attend prom, etc.

  • Paola

Whoa the hubby would kill me if i spent $600 on eyeshadows! Luckily i was able to get the naked vault for my bday as a gift! So I’m good…for now lol

  • genevieve

I think by the time you worked out what shadows you had with the Naked palettes, plus any Vices you own, anniversary palettes, spectrums etc. you would find that you would have a lot of these colours already.
Think of it this way – can you be bothered opening up several little single pans every morning to make your look?
    $600 is a lot of money…..

  • Nima

hey Muse! hope u r doing well …… would u have a clue as to when will this mother lode shadow collection be back … IF it does happen?
