Bare Minerals The Instant Attraction Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches
Bare Minerals The Instant Attraction Eyeshadow Palette is a new Bare Minerals Ready Eyeshadow 4.0 Palette that launched with the Bare Minerals Lovescape Spring 2016 Collection which debuted exclusively on QVC.com in a trio set.
I happen to be a huge Bare Minerals Ready Eyeshadow 8.0 Palette kinda girl and I wish that the Bare Minerals the Instant Attraction Ready Eyeshadow 4.0 Palette was an 8.0 because I LOVE this shade combination. If you’re Spring breakin’ soon these shades are the perfect way to get a gorgeous sunset look!
At the moment the Bare Minerals The Instant Attraction Eyeshadow Palette isn’t yet available outside of a QVC Gift Set but I have hopes Sephora.com, Nordstrom.com, and Ulta.com will all get the Lovescape Collection. If you recall last year, QVC introduced Bare Minerals Spring 2016 before anywhere else got it so I suspect we’ll see the Lovescape Spring 2016 Collection trickle into other retailers shortly.
However, you can’t get beat QVC.com’s price. They sell this palette along with a full size Marvelous Moxie Lipstick as well as a Ready Color Boost in two new shades for $41.82 plus $3 shipping. After tax you’re paying around $15 or so dollars per item which is a great deal.
This palette comes with four shades I haven’t personally seen before but don’t quote me as I have so many Ready Palettes that the shades run together sometimes.
Shades:
- Whirlwind (shimmer yellow gold)
- Happenstance (creamy peachy beige)
- Anticipation (rose pink)
- Meant To Be (shimmering espresso)
All four of these shades were beautifully textured but a little bit different compared to some of my past Ready Palettes. It seemed like three of the four shades were very, very loose packed so they did kick up a good deal of powder when I brushed a brush through them (Meant to Be was the only shade that was denser). I also felt like the two shimmer shades, Happenstance and Anticipation, had a lot of micro shimmer with a good deal of fall out during application (you’ll likely notice some on my cheeks and under my eyes in photos even though I thought I had cleaned up my mess). They are quite the formula I know from Ready but they still had excellent color pay off with a beautiful velvety cream texture that glided on like butter. The fall out irritated me a good deal but I’m willing to cope with it. I kinda had this Urban Decay Kiddie Pool moment when using the two shades I mentioned just to give you a general idea of fall out!
One of the things I loved most about the palette was how well the colors coordinated. I think sometimes Bare Minerals puts shades together that make me scratch my head. Not the case at all with this quad. All of these shades worked beautifully together to create a warm, sunset look! I also happened to be an instant fan girl of Anticipation since it reminded me a little bit of MAC Expensive Pink.
I’ve played with the idea of purchasing another of the trio gift sets from QVC since I loved this palette so much but I think I’ll wait to see if they release it individually.
The Bare Minerals The Instant Attraction Eyeshadow Palette is definitely not what I’ve known from Ready Eyeshadow Palettes in the past and the fall out was definitively an issue for me. But I have to say this formula is still one of my favorite pressed eyeshadow formulas around and if Bare Minerals continues to make Ready Palettes I’ll continue to buy it!
