About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

I got the email first thing this morning and immediately placed the order. Nice surprise after a really, really long week.

Christine told me about it (temptalia), I didn’t even get the email! It really has been a long week hasn’t it?!

It only went out to platinum members if you are a platinum member and didn’t get one reach out the guest services

  • Robin

It let me put it in the bag without even signing in. I don’t think its limited to Platinum right now.

I hope this means they might bring some old shades back. I’ve still got a pan of Gash that I bring out when I’m feeling nostalgic.

I didn’t get the email, even though I’m platinum, but I placed an order for it. What’s the point of getting all the OTHER ulta emails they send, like the ‘beauty break! 4 hours only’ if they’re not going to send me an email like this. So annoying of them!

As soon as I got the email I had to get it. Plus 5x points for UD. Score!!

I know I don’t need it… but the UD Palette collector in me is drooling! What to do =D

I called Ulta cs this morning because I’m a platinum member and never got the email either. The rep was really nice. It took a while, but the gal I spoke with said not all platinum members got an email and had no idea why. I asked what was the point of being platinum and asked for a supervisor. I was asked to hold and then got a $15 gift card, no manager. Still though what’s the point of being a platinum. They need to create tiers like Sephora. I’m a HUGE UD enthusiast and collector, they can do no wrong by me, so yes I took this to heart on missing out. It was one day only (1/8/2015).

Sephora Rouge honestly gets you jack squat! I have been Rouge for a couple of years and honestly one of the only “perks” is that you get free “2 day shipping” which usually ends up being 6-7 days anyway. Before they used to give you a little extra in the birthday gift. They aren’t doing that anymore, though. Their bonuses that you buy with points suck too-way too many points for measly samples, then a week later you see something that you paid 250 points as a “free gift with $25 purchase”.
I do wish that Ulta offered free shipping on any purchase to Platinum members, cause I hate having to order $50 worth of stuff every time I want to buy online. The stores by me are usually not well-stocked either 🙁

I think this is a really useful palette, filled with beautiful colours. BUT if you have any of the Vice, Book of Shadows or speciality palettes then you would have many of these colours or their dupes. Having said that – I know this is going to sell like hotcakes. Are you going to get one Isabella? (Or is that a silly question)

Im actually okay with the repeats on this one because I’ve hit the pan in other palettes on quite a few of these colors. I haven’t bought much UD lately but this looks like a nice one to keep out for quick morning eye looks. I hope the formula holds up to the “classic” ud shadows!
