About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Ahhh! Why must they tempt us hahaha. Although I might have to get this.. also do you have a free shipping code for ulta?

    • Isabella Muse

Ha 🙂 No sadly not, but if you spend $50 it’ll be free shipping so maybe you can get a little beauty budget pick up to tip you into the free shipping realm!

      • Krutika

        haha no worries.

Also, I know the too faced pb&j palette does not have nuts in it per say.. but for some reason my lids feel itchy right after.. And my eczema flared up ;/

        • Isabella Muse

Oh no! that’s not good. Thankfully I was ok with it but yeah, I’m having the itchy, flaky eye lid thing happening too the last few months :-/ It just recently healed up for me!

        • Rachel R.

Krutika…do you have a sulfa allergy by chance? Too Faced scented palettes have Sachharin in them, which is related to sulfa and can give people allergic reactions.

          • Krutika

ooo actually yes I do. I tend to not eat dried fruit either with sulfur. It’s not a horrible allergy, but I didn’t think they’d include it in eyeshadow. Weirdly, I have even had some reaction to Anastasia Beverly’s eyeshadows. Thank you for letting me know.. this palette might have to go back. 🙁

Wow, this is different from BE! Looks like they’re jumping on the large neutral palette bandwagon but large palettes scare me!! I find them intimidating and overwhelming. But since I love BE, this may be a good way for me to dip my toes in the water. 🙂 Their color combos can do me no wrong–I can pick up any of their palettes with colors that look scary in the pan and they’re always extremely wearable. I don’t know how they do it!

Side ramble: Jane Iredale is my (close) second favorite formula as their combos are wearable as well, but their shadows are almost too finely milled. I come off looking polished and sophisticated, but it makes me feel older, if that makes any sense. I think their target audience is older than me, which makes sense.

    • Isabella Muse

I’m ok with larger palettes but I always worry the quality won’t be there when brands go bigger! Jane Iredale has some very, very, very nice offerings that are so underrated. Kinda like Clarins, everyone thinks it’s a more mature line when in fact they have some truly great stuff! 😀

      • Agona

Oh, gosh, you’re right. Some companies do lose quality when they go big. Guess I’ll wait for your review then. 😀

        • Agona

At least there appears (from the stock photo) to be a good mix of light, medium, and dark shades. I hate when a palette doesn’t give you enough of each option and everything looks muddy on your lid! I refuse to buy palettes that are only good as companion palettes; I think that defeats the whole purpose of a palette. 🙂

I saw this on line yesterday and ordered it immediately. In fact, knowing that you are also a fan of Bare Minerals pressed eye shadow formula, I wanted to let you know about it but couldn’t access the site! Glad you found it and ordered it.

    • Isabella Muse

sorry! site went down down down yesterday 🙂 just got it fixed this AM 😀 thanks though for thinking of me 😀

  • blee

Oh, I’m going to have to hide my eyes when yours get here. LOL 🙂 I have many of the double and quads and a pop outs and replace your pick of shadows pallets and now a larger in charge one.

    • Isabella Muse

lol Blee! It was too tempting! I probably have dupes but I can’t not get it!

  • Gina

Wish it has some purples mixed in. But still, something new from the brand, worth to check out!

  • Maria

The love the Bare minerals ready shadows. I will wait for swartches and reviews.

  • Jean

I love BM and I love neutrals, but to me this looks a bit bland. It’s all light pinks and browns. There’s only one that looks grey. I wish there were more grey and mauves. I’ll probably end up getting it anyway, but I’m going to wait for swatches and discounts.
