Dermablend Blurring Mousse Camo Foundation

Ok, show of hands, who’s a Dermablend Smooth Liquid Camo Concealer fan? If you are you’ll be happy to hear about Dermablend Blurring Mousse Camo Foundation! I’ve actually hauled out Smooth Liquid Camo and have been using it the past month. You already know I’m a die hard Em The Great Cover Up Concealer fan girl but I decided to switch things up a little. Reason? My other concealers (in my massive stash of concealers) aren’t getting enough love. I made a pact with myself to start using them!

Anyway, if you haven’t tried Smooth Liquid Camo Concealer, do it. It’s good! Creamy, hydrating, easy to blend, and excellent coverage! Anyway, I’m babbling! The real start of this post is the new Dermablend Blurring Mousse Camo Foundation, which, I hope has the same great formula as the Camo Concealer since they share the same name.

This one is formulated with all skin types in mind and has an oil-free formula that provides medium coverage with a mousse-like texture that blends easily without looking cakey or overdone. It also contains SPF 25 plus apparently it wears for 18 hours. It does have a matte formula which always raises on a red flag for this dry skin girl. But I’m noticeable matte foundations are a lot more wearable for drier skin lately. I mean look at the new Urban Decay All Nighter Liquid Foundation which is quite matte but still smooth and doesn’t adhere to drier areas. The mousse-like texture reminds me of the new Maybelline Dream Velvet Soft Matte Hydrating Foundation.

Dermablend Blurring Mousse Camo Foundation is available now in in 12 shades for $38 at Sephora.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I really want to try this but I’m not sure of my shade. My local Sephora does not have this brand in stock.

The word “mousse” in any makeup reminds me of years ago when Maybelline first came out with their mousse foundation. I had a jar of it and it was soooooo heavy, like grease paint.

I used a primer, then the foundation. Applied it in circular motion with a brush. Skin looks flawless. I have light to medium skin color and used the Sahara shade, it was a perfect match. I’ll see how it wears as the day goes on.
