Laura Mercier Candleglow Sheer Perfecting Powder ($38) might just be channeling Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder! Whatcha think? But Laura Mercier’s version is available in six interesting shades including darker ones.

Here’s a peek!

Laura Mercier Candleglow Sheer Perfecting is a pressed powder that provides a diffused, soft glow on skin. This is a sheer powder with a radiant finish that gives a light veil of coverage but also provides a pretty illuminating finish on skin.

It looks a lot like Hourglass’s formula but the interesting thing would be the fact it comes in some deeper shades such as medium deep and deep both of which appear very dark in promo images!

Shades include:

    Fair
  • Light
  • Light to Medium
  • Medium
  • Medium to Deep
  • Deep

Each powder is $38 and available now at Sephora.com and should be available soon at Nordstrom.com as well!

By the way, has anyone tried Essence Pure Nude Highlighter? It’s cheap and a pretty awesome highlighter!

Ooooo these look GOOD! And yay for deeper shades! I hope they aren’t all red 😛 and that Essence highlighter is very pretty! It’s a tad stark against my tan, but very buttery and wears nicely. I really like it.

These look great Muse! I have trouble finding any that fit me in the Hourglass range (dim light is a bronzer on me and radiant light always seems to stark and white to me :/) and have several darker friends with the same issue so I am sooooo happy to see a brand like Laura Mercier do this and put their money where their mouth is!

I just bought the Essence highlighter and I love it. I was worried it might be too dark for my fair skin, but it blends nicely and adds a lovely subtle glow. It’s my first experience with the Essence brand and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality. I’ll definitely be checking out more Essence makeup.
