Pop Beauty Setting 101 Review & Swatches
One of my favorite makeup products of the moment is the new Pop Beauty Setting 101 Palette which will be launching shortly on Pop Beauty’s website. If you get the chance, I’d totally recommend a pick up for this little guy as it includes three powders to set, brighten, and correct your complexion!
Here’s the deets!
As you may already know I’m not one for using translucent powder to set my makeup. I have drier skin so, I tend to avoid setting with powder in the Fall and the Winter. I do use it in the Summer on a rare occasion but in the cooler weather I avoid it. But I love this little compact.
Pop Beauty houses not one but three little powders in this compact which can be used for a range of different things. Al three powders have a soft, silky consistency and blend beautifully! They are pretty powdery but that never translated into chalkiness or dryness. I felt they applied very nicely on my drier skin without adhering to drier areas.
They call it Setting 101 because they include instructions and a diagram for the placement of the powders in the back of the compact and on the inside flap. It’s a pretty nifty set up if you’re not sure where to place each powder. You get a white translucent powder to set your makeup, a banana or yellow powder which corrects redness (I use Ben Nye Banana Powder under my eyes to set my concealer and brighten my eyes up so I used this in a similar fashion) and there’s a peach shade which corrects darkness and brightens up areas. They actually recommend the peach to set your concealer and brighten up your eye area which it did well but I also applied it down the sides of my noses and blended it out and it brightened up my entire complexion very, very nicely.
I absolutely loved this little compact. All the shades were very flattering, easy to use, and the peach and banana worked great to brighten up the wells under my eyes as well as my entire complexion!
This one is a keeper.
The Pop Beauty Setting 101 Palette will be available shortly at popbeauty.com!
I’m giving it a Muse Approval.
