Have You Started Holiday Shopping Yet?

holiday-shopping

Have you started holiday shopping yet? Have you purchased any makeup or beauty sets for friends and family or are you waiting for Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals?

Tell me about it!

I started a little bit but I’m mostly waiting for good Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals. I picked up a few things during the Sephora Sale for friends and family (particularly for my sister) but I haven’t really dug in deep yet. I typically do one mega haul online for everyone during Black Friday and Cyber Monday if I see any good deals I’ll add stuff into my cart. After that, it’s all about finding perfect stocking stuffers and getting stuff wrapped. I don’t wait until the last minute to shop but I am terrible about wrapping. I simply hate it and I wait too long to do it which results with me, on Christmas Eve, trying to wrap 100s of presents.

This year, I promised myself that I’d wrap stuff as it arrived in the mail!

What about you?

Did you start Holiday shopping yet?

When did you start?

Or are you the type of person that’s in the mall on Christmas Eve trying to hunt down the perfect present?

Do share!

I’m starting posting Holiday Gift Guides and hopefully you find them helpful! If not, let me know! Or if you want a particular Holiday Gift Guide to be featured give me a shout!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I’ve started crafting gifts already! I can’t afford big gifts this year, so I’m getting little cute knick-knacks or sampler kits for people and wrapping them in scarves/gloves/hats/blankets/etc that’s I’m crocheting for each person. 🙂

I think that’s lovely, Chib! I’d be quite happy with a gift like that!!!!!!!

I haven’t started shopping yet but I need to as I hate waiting to the last minute. It’s also easier on the wallet to space out my purchases over a couple months.

    I appreciate your buying guides!

I couldn’t agree more! That’s pretty much a good plan of action! I never do that but I should! Typically I do a mega buy during Cyber Monday/Black Friday and get it done in one swoop!

Hi Muse! I actually have been in the holiday spirit a bit already (plus, I like to spread my holiday gift-buying out over several months/paychecks). 🙂 I was buying some Snowcake/castle, AOBS, Cupcake, Tea Tree Oil and a few other things (ahem 🙂 for myself at Lush and decided to go ahead and pick up two Hello Gorgeous gift sets there for my best friend and my sis-in-law, as well as a Relax gift set for my second closest friend. Yes, it was quite a haul and quite a bit of cash but, they are now all taken care of! I also picked up an extra bar of Snowcastle (so weird that it’s not Snowcake anymore!) with a Lush gift wrap for my closest coworker. Saw some lovely Chanel gift sets at the mall so might snag one for another good friend later. I imagine I will be back at Lush over the holidays to grab some more stocking stuffers and the like. My mom loves Ocean Salt and I think it’s time for another tub for her, too! My husband loves Chrome cologne so I will likely get him a gift set, although I was thinking of getting him something new for a change–any ideas? I’m out of Chanel perfume and would love it if he/Santa would bring me a new bottle. Chanel Boy doesn’t seem to be sold in the U.S.–is it UK-only, if you know? xoxo

I think that’s smart! I should really do that, Bonnie! 😀 Hehe those are the best gifts. To me, From me! 😀 They are going to love those gifts! I know right? I can’t really get into calling it Snowcastle! There’s a lovely lipgloss trio from Chanel this season at Nordstrom! ;-D Boy is sold in the US 🙂 Saks is having their Trunk show at the moment and it is in store or online at Chanel. My friend Justin can help you out if you tweet/give him a call he works for at Saks Chanel! https://twitter.com/jgentges he Literally just sent me samples of a bunch of the newest exclusifs like beige, 1932, and boy 🙂 Ah for the hubby, that’s always a hard one 🙂 Are you looking for a scent for him or a techy gift?

      • Bonnie

Thanks so much, Muse!!! Wow I am so excited that Boy is in the U.S. and also about the lip glosses! Hubby, he loves cologne and watches…I bought him a nice watch a few years ago so, def. more scent-oriented is what I’m looking for this year! He also got a pot of Cosmetic Lad one year 🙂

I will send Justin a tweet, I’d love to have some samples to choose among the Chanel! Thx!

ps I forgot to add, for your hub, try exploring some of the Etat Libre d’Orange scents, Dangerous Complicity is so sexy (plus unisex so you can have fun with it too!)!

          • Bonnie

Thx for link to Chanel Boy! I will def. be indulging in that!! Although would love a sample from Justin first. Thx so much for the recommends for hub, too–I will try that. I know you love that range and so I’ve been wanting to check them out! Sounds divine. he’s a sexy, dangerous (in a good way–bad boy) man so it sounds perfect. He’s also very stylish and modern!

I have to echo another reader and thank you so much for your gift guides and your wonderful, personalized comments! Much appreciated!

I have picked up a few things for friends and family that love Bath and Body Works. They had a lot of good deals over the summer, which is when I tend to buy things so that I stick within my budget.

  • Bonnie

Muse, I took your advice and ordered the Etat Libre D’Orange cologne for my husband. I’m excited! I think he will be, too.
