Burt’s Bees Gloss Lip Crayon ($9) are a new chubby lip crayon that have the shine of a lipgloss and are packed with moisturizing ingridents for your lips like Jojoba Oil, Kendi Oil, and Shea Butter.

Let’s take a look at my review and swatches!

Burt’s Bees Gloss Lip Crayon are a re-release of Burt’s Bees original Lip Crayons that launched in 2014. Those crayons were matte in finish so, the new Burt’s Bees Gloss Lip Crayons are a welcome addition in my opinion as a prefer a glossier finish myself. Gloss Lip Crayons are one of three new releases from Burt’s Bees for Spring 2017 which also includes the new Tinted Lip Oil and Flavor Crystal Lip Balms that I reviewed in prior posts.

I sound like a broken record by now but I have to admit lip crayons are a timeless trend for me. I simply love them and no matter how many I have I’m always looking for new ones to try out. I love the ease of application, I love I can slide them on and get color, shine, and moisture in a single swipe.

Burt’s Bees hit it out of the park with this formula. These are incredibly pigmented and apply like a gel lipstick of some sort with a lovely moisturizing feel on lips that’s creamy but not thick nor uncomfortable. They don’t have a completely shiny finish but they have a bit of a sheen to them that gives them that light clear lipgloss look. I find the formula lightly moisturizing but it was enough hydration to keep my lips pleasantly moist and soft throughout the first two hours of the wear but it wore away at around hour four along with the color.

One of the most impressive aspects of the crayon is how pigmented the colors are. I was so excited that a single pass gave my lips opaque coverage. This is particularly exciting because Burt’s Bees describes them as being sheer but they are anything but! They have no flavor nor any fragrance.

If you’re looking for moisture, a hint of shine, and plenty of color, you’re sure to adore the Burt’s Bees Gloss Lip Crayon formula!

Wow thsee look amazing! I got one of their older lip crayons, but didn’t like the finish. They also weren’t hydrating at all. I can’t wait to grab some of these!

likewise! I LOVED the pigment on the old ones but the formula was too matte.

Muse the Tahitian sunset looks so pretty on you. I have to search for these. Which store did you buy these from? Thanks

In unrelated news…I saw Friday kahlo lipsticks at CVS. 4 colors, not affiliated with any brand but just “frida kahlo copyright” or something. Exciting! Gorgeous designs on the packaging of course.

I have two of the matte ones I don’t think they are the greatest they apply too light in fact I run like two times to get any color although the colors are pretty and natural and don’t dry my lips but not crazy about them prefer my WetnWild over these anytime. They deliver a punch and leave a stain so you don’t run out of all color for the day.
Would like to try these new ones hope for the better!

I’m glad these are pigmented. It’s a pet peeve of mine when I buy a lip crayon and it has barely any pigment. I end up never using those. I wish these came out in the fall because the dark plum is so pretty.
