About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. I just got their retinol serum and am loving it, so I look forward to your review of the oil.

I’m curious about these, even though I have oily skin. I’ll be interested to hear your thoughts!

Look at CeraVe coming up with new stuff! That day cream sounds neat, except I think I’m allergic to octinoxate, and also using retinol in the daytime is kind of pointless and a waste of money. I bet the oil will be great for winter! (ie my constantly windburned cheeks.)

CeraVe has some great products for the price. I’ve been using their retinol serum too and really like it.

I have a lot of love for CeraVe; I repeatedly purchase their facial cleansers, AM lotion, and Renewing SA body lotion (works better on my keratosis pilaris on my arms better than anything else I have tried, and does not smell bad, unlike others I have tried). I appreciate that they make products packed with proven beneficial ingredients and free of fragrance, at a very reasonable price point; plus they manage to advertise without promising the moon or relying on InstaHype. I don’t think I’d use a retinol day cream, but I appreciate them coming out with new products, keeping it fresh.

Uh! I’m for sure will be getting these two! I wear their facial cleansing and the moisturizer find both excellent! I have not tried their sunblock though I use Traders Joe’s one and it suits me well no brakes up from either of these items. Instead of primer I been using the CeraVé moisterusing cream is heavy but my rather dry skin soaks it in fine and does not leave a sticky heavy feeling. I wear my sunblock then Cera Vé wait a few minutes between each then apply foundation on the light side. I do have decent skin so I wear a little. It if foundation just to even out my redness/freckles. My dermatologist recommends Cera Vé, Cetaphil, Eucerin and Vani cream have not tried he says they are all clean products they work and do not brake the bank. I love Cetaphyl and Eucerin is great also.

The ingredients and packaging are stellar, but $24 for 1oz of product? And this is supposed to be a drugstore line? Are they serious? I’d love to have some of whatever they’ve been drinking.

CeraVe offers phenomenal products that contain high ratios of multiple active ingredients in a single product at an insanely low cost! This brand outshines ALL of the high end department store brands! ( many of which contain useless gimmicky formulas or inadequate amounts of clinically proven ingredients – As far as I know none of those famous brands contain more than a single active ingredients so you need to purchase several items from the line to get effective results! Also much of the “good stuff” is diminished by improper packaging! ( exposure to air & light denature most antioxidants )
CeraVe products have everything you need in well packaged formulas that maintain stability – Clinically proven active ingredients at a fraction of the cost of the most recommended dermatology dispensed brands! I’m usually skeptical about brands that claim to be formulated by Dermatologists but not with this one!
I’m a long time user of ZO Medical – previously I used Obagi – These do as promised & my skin is amazing but my pocket book is completely flaccid ( a tiny tube of eye cream is $225 for example ) – peptides- retinol- antioxidants in therapeutic ratios & air tight / light proof packaging – Furthermore CeraVe day includes 30 spf sun protection! They even have a product ( haven’t tried it myself ) with spf 50 !!!! CeraVe is bringing us all of this at a laughable low price!!!
TRY IT!!!! Give it 6 to 8 weeks & Your skin will love you! You’ll look brighter & fresher – hydrated & lovely but do keep in mind that sometimes your skin will look worse initially! Retinol can be irritating & cause redness & flaking but this will pass as your skin adjusts! Oh yeah – you may also develop more than typical zits or breakouts too ( kind of a purging effect for everything below the surface )
