Wet n Wild Megaglo Blush Stick is one of several new Megaglo Makeup Stick formulas that launched for Spring 2017. They actually did conceal, contour, highlighting, and blush sticks in this formula and from my understanding they are part of the permanent collection.

There’s actually so much potential with this formula because it’s a pretty glow-y shade that looks dewy and sun kissed on cheeks and face but the consistency, poor packaging, and shorter wear make for a disappointing experience.

Wet n Wild Megaglo Blush Stick comes housed in a small chunky swivel up barrel that holds 0.21 oz of product. About two year’s ago these dome shaped chubby blush sticks were all the rage courtesy Clinique’s Chubby Stick Moisturizing Cheek Colour Balm and Chubby in the Nude Foundation Stick starting the trend. I dunno about you but I find the dome shape so much easier to work with than the blush sticks with a flat top. They fit the contours of your face so much easier. This doesn’t swivel down which was one of the things that annoyed me about the Wet n Wild MegaGlo Cheek & Lip Tint but I find it a lot easier to replace the lid without slicing a chunk of blush off this thanks to the dome shape. Sadly, the packaging is a bit faulty as the stick breaks off at the base and ends up sliding completely out of the tube if you aren’t careful! I’m not alone because I read a lot of reviews where this happened to others.

One of the things that disturbed me most about this was the fact it smelled so bad. It’s like a chemical crayola fragrance. It’s really strong and rather gross.

Once I got passed the smell I was pretty ok with the formula. It’s a thicker, creamier texture that blends easily but building is absolutely essential for the best color pay off as it sheers away considerably as you blend. I tend to apply a TON of it initially and just blend it out from there. This way I don’t have to keep building and the color actually turns out quite naturally. It’s weird as it swatches pigmented but color sheers out a lot as you blend. I picked up the shade Hustle & Glow which is a subtle golden orange. It has a little bit of a luminous glow on my cheeks with a dewier finish that isn’t tacky or nor sticky. It fades fast though! If I get two hours of wear from it I’m lucky!

Wet n Wild Megaglo Blush Stick has a lot of potential as it would make for a cute, glow-y blush for Summer. But the shade selection is a little lacking, the strong scent is quite awful, and shorter wear makes it a little bit of a bust for me.

Anyone try this one?

Yikes, 2 hours of wear is too little even at this price point! Some of WnW’s twist up packaging needs to be reworked. I had a lip balm that came in the flimsiest plastic packaging and the plastic inside that made the thing swivel up and down just broke and it basically was stuck in that position. Trying to force it to work just resulted in bits of plastic breaking in the tube. I actually had 2 of those things and the 2nd one is showing signs of the same problem. Oh well, at least it’s cheap. I guess?

le sigh! I just know they can do better which makes it worst yanno?

I picked up all three of these. Hustle and Glow is a bit too yellow for my degree of pale. Peach Bums is a bummer as it sheers out into all glitter and no color. Love Floral Majority! Wear time is decent for me, but I only work 6 hours and don’t care after that. I haven’t noticed any scent at all in any of them, but now, of course, I want to go smell them! If this child of mine ever falls asleep, I’m going to go sniff ’em.

let me know if they smell for you! curious minds 😀 I only got the one, Hustle and Glow, and the shade was a bit too orange-y for my skin as you can see in my photo 🙁 But I liked the dewy glow it gave!

Finally got around to doing a sniff test! You are SO right! Hustle and Glow smells horrendous. Floral majority has the same scent, but very faintly. You have to pretty much put it in your nose before you smell it. Peach Bums also has a very faint scent, of…cinnamon? Not unpleasant, very elusive. Kinda weird.

how weird the scent is limited to one color! I didn’t try the others so not sure on the fragrance on those! I just assumed they all smelled really bad 😀

I bought the concealer and really like it. But it doesn’t seem like it rolls up? So that what you see is all the product there is? If so, it’s not going to last long…

I bought 2 of the concealers last week, and didn’t have that problem. I love the formula too…it really covers! The only problem I have is that the writing on the tube smears, and the ink gets all over my hand, but that’s easily washed off.

I feel like this collection suits a teenager perfectly with its light shades and those super cutesy heart lipsticks which I’m skipping but dying to have) since I have the entire collection including the mauve vampy colors, otherwise except the dark browns those don’t look good on me. I bough the concealer and i find actually great I let it warm up/melt it a bit in my fingers before applying. Also the highliter stick goes on so sheer and quite beautiful I’m surprised I think it could be use as concealer in an emergency also just remove few of the glitter. Lol! Also got the three cheek/eye sticks. I need to get that Quartz purplish eyeshadow palette so with that I’ll order a a few more things for fun like the purple highliter I don’t need. I love the liquid lipsticks have a few of them I apply with my lip liner to finish spreading with a touch of gloss. Since I’m pale these actually show up on me it’ll be fun for Summer. Unfortunately my niece is not much into makeup yet she is 16. 🙁

The highlight version of these sticks is actually really good. I get more wear time with that than the blushes. It is a slightly drier formula but definitely not dry, just not as slick as the others.

I just bought Hustle & Glow yesterday and just got around to trying it now. First thing I did was smell it, and I guess I’m lucky bc there’s practically no scent, just the faaaaintest whiff of makeup, and that’s when I practically shove it up my nose. Can’t say anything for wear time and all that, but I will say I’m disappointed that it doesn’t dry down to powder like the display proclaimed, it’s pretty dang greasy on me. I’m really oily and live in hot n humid Hawaii, so that part is really important to me, though like ya said, the dewy glow IS pretty. I just can’t pull it off for more than five seconds Personally, I think the color looks beautiful on you, but then you’re beautiful already I’m a couple shades darker than you, so I’m hoping it looks ok on me anyways lol.
BTW, when are ya gonna start a YouTube beauty channel??

aww thanks you are WAY too kind Charmaine! They have a few deeper shades available, maybe one of the more bolder colors might work for you? Probably never haha. This blogs takes a lot of my time already plus I have a full-time job. I really don’t have time for videos 🙂
