Peace Out Acne Healing Dots Brings Back Those Lost Forgotten Days of Puberty

Remember your first pimple? I do. Let’s face it, you probably remember your first pimple more accurately than you do your first kiss right? I wonder why that is? Oh yeah, I know! It’s because pimples tend to pop up at some of the most important moments in your life.

School dance? Pimple! First real date with the boy you like LIKE? Pimple! Pimples are the quintessential teenage rite of passage. They had a tendency to pop up at the best times in your life and in fact, they probably still do. Like a few months ago when a big nasty red pimple popped up on the side of my nose and I felt all Wicked Witch of the West I’ll get you my pretty looking!

You know what else is a rite of passage? Kevin Arnold’s nifty trick of slapping a Band-Aid over it and acting like you cut yourself or fell. Or if you’re a dude you could have used that I got in a fight and won excuse. Be honest, tell me I’m not the only person alive that slapped a Band-Aid over a pimple once in their life?

And that is in fact why Peace Out Acne Healing Dots are on the agenda today. It’s rare since I’ve had an ugly pimple pop up but I wouldn’t mind having this nifty dots around for a quick heal. $19 bucks gets you 20 protective, blemish healing dots that are infused with anti-acne ingredients. Simply cover your pimple with one and according to the brand within six hours it’ll be less painful, less red, and well on its way to healing up so you can get on with your life without being embarrassed by a big old gross pimple.

Peace Out Acne Healing Dots are available now at Sephora.com.

The bandage thing with Kevin was funny but I’ve never done that.

I have tried the blemish dots that Peter Thomas Roth has. They do work but I’d only wear them at home, while sleeping. These seem interesting to me.

totally guilty! I think I was 12, had a massive gross pimple on my cheek, covered it with a bandage and made some excuse up that I can’t remember lol!

I’m in my 40’s and acne prone but my pimples don’t normally pop until the morning. I’m convinced that they get together at night and figure out where they’re going to pop up next. their favorite places are my chin and forehead but once in awhile they surprise me. one was on my eyebrow and one was on that delicate skin under my eye. i love my pimples- they’re the best! *eye roll*

You know what I’ve started recently doing that works really well? Instead of rubbing in my anti-blemish serum like I normally do, right before bed, I dot it on the spot. Like a big dot; like there’s a drop of it sitting on my face. It’s viscous enough that it just sits there in a solid gel state and by morning, the acne is pretty much dried up. I think that’s what these dots are trying to do? Kind of like sheet masks–lets the product sit on-top without evaporating or absorbing too quickly. If it wasn’t a waste of product, I kind of want to create my own by soaking my serum.

I tried the Peach Slices Acne Spot Dots from CVS, and they work great! Plus it’s $4.49 for a pack of 30.

SWEET! I haven’t seen the Peach Slices in any of my CVS stores yet! Really want to try out the line!

COSRX makes pimple patches, and they are similarly priced to the peach slices, and you can buy them easily on Amazon. They’re a holy Grail.

HG, f’sure…just ordered more from Amazon, due to the death of Memebox, RIP. The thing with hydrocolloids is that they suck out well once the zit is heading, but don’t draw well, when the zit is still deep. There are other Asian ones. Biore makes one, and I think Nexcare, is it? Once the pimple is to the right phase, they can make it virtually disappear overnight. But, they have to be ‘ripe.’ It is such a blast to have zits at 68, and use 100 acids rather than anti aging ingredients.

I was looking for a less expensive alternative to these and saw that “InStyle” had made a list on their site last year with some of the best drugstore blemish fighters, and the Nexcare Acne Absorbing Cover was on there. I just ordered some on Amazon for $5 and was wondering if anyone had tried them. They intrigued me because they don’t have any active ingredients like salicylic acid. I have to use Retin-A and hydroquinone because of melasma, so my skin gets pretty tired of acids, too, and seems to give me a nice new blemish as soon as everything else clears up. Has anyone tried these by Nexcare or one of the other brands??

I agree, COSRX Master Patches are amazing. I though it would be more of a gimmicky product but it actually shrinks and soothes angry spots quickly. They also blend in pretty well with my skin, so I don’t feel like I’m doing the band-aid trick.

Clean and Clear used to make these when I was in middle school in the late 90s. I would go to bed with my face covered in little dots. I don’t miss puberty at all except the not having to pay bills part.
