Two New Pixi Skincare Picks I Need To Try

Hey Pixi fans we really need to get our hands on the new Rose Flash Balm and Rose Caviar Essence! The Pixi Skin Treats Skincare Collection is beloved by many fans with a lot of excellent picks that have become staples for many of you such as Glow Tonic. I know I typically take notice when Pixi does some new skincare launch which is why I’m intrigued by these two new products.

Here’s the deets.

Pixi Rose Flash Balm $24
I have a love affair with Clarins Flash Balm so, I’m all about trying Pixi’s version! This 3-in-1 oil-free moisturizer acts as a hydrating mask as well as a primer to prep skin for makeup or as a lightweight moisturizer.

Pixi Rose Caviar Essence $24
A serum that contains encapsulated flower oils which melt into skin and act to hydrate, brighten, tone, and refine.

P.S. THE KING OF THE NORTH! Lady Lyanna you’re such a bad ass! If you love the little lady might I recommend watching The Worst Witch on Netflix? That’s right! There’s a re-make available of the Worst Witch and little Lady Lyanna aka Bella Ramsey plays the most beloved yet worst witch around Mildred Hubble. She doesn’t kick as much ass in the Worst Witch but still displays her girl powers none the less. She might be tiny but Bella’s nearly 13 years old and wowing Game of Thrones fans near and wide myself included.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I really love Pixi makeup. So many products from this line are better than even the high-end makeup brands imo – as far as keeping things bright, sheer, and youthful – which I so desperately need these days. I keep passing by the Rose Cavier Essence, because rarely does any product perform better than my plain ole Rose Hip Seed oil. But this looks and sounds sound good!
I’ll be curious to read the reviews!

Hi muse, i too love the clarins flash balm and was curious about the pixi rose balm, so i picked it up. Swatched on the back of my hand, it felt really nice but when i put it all over my face, im not sure if i liked it. It smells heavily of rose which is nice, but it has a somewhat chemical/alcohol smell that was also really strong, and maybe my mind’s playing tricks but i felt like that made it feel kinda dehydrating on the skin and did not compare to the clarins one. I have combo oily skin and was surprised to find this product dehydrating. i havent used it much since which is a bummer cuz it wasn’t cheap :/

that stinks sorry to hear it. I simply HATE the smell of Some of Pixi’s skincare, the worst offender being Glow Tonic! I don’t mind scented skincare but they really go above and beyond with fragrance 🙁 Thanks for the heads up! I guess I’ll skip 🙁 Money saved 🙂

Thanks for this info! I cannot stand anything that smells like roses, except for real roses lol. I was worried it might be too heavy, given some of their other products.

I bought the Rose Caviar essence and I am sadly not a fan. It takes a lot of effort to get it to “soak in,” and for some reason my skin is very sensitive to rose (???). I may be returning this product. My skin is very dry and sensitive, so i think i will stick with my Neutrogena Hydroboost Serum.

The Rose Flash Balm is great, just started using it a few weeks ago. I have sensitive skin super prone to breakouts and my face has stayed clear and healthy. So I definitely recommend it! Their rose oil is great too!!
