A Few Blushes That Recently Rocked My World And Others That Didn’t

I wonder when the next wave of blushes are going to hit. Remember the year that Cheek Pop Blush and we were flooded with a ton of brands launching different blush options? I wonder when we’ll get the next flood of blushes. At the moment, it’s highlighter this, long-wearing lipstick that with absolutely no end in sight to the trend. I’m ready for something else. It’s been a while since we saw blushes get a boast! How about we finally get those L’oReal Cushion Blushes at the drugstore?!

It’s been slow going for blushes but here are a few blushes that recently rocked my worlds and others that didn’t.

Lottie London Blush Crush Powder Blusher
Under $6 bucks, pigmented, and did I mention cheap as hell? Lottie London’s blusher is worth a pick up if you’re in the mood for super cheap, super pigmented, and lovely!

Lorac Beauty and the Beast Cheek Palette
Lorac’s Pirates of the Caribbean Cheek Palette wasn’t quite the range of shades I’d pick for myself but the Beauty and the Beast Cheek Palette was a win all around. Softly, glowing shades are a go with this gorgeous four shade palette!

It Cosmetics Confidence in Your Glow
It’s been a few months since their release but I’m still RAVING the Confidence in Your Glow Blush Palettes from It Cosmetics. These provided such gorgeous color to my cheeks and had such a smooth, even appearance! The silky texture blended easily as well! Loved these! Can’t recommend them enough!

It Cosmetics Natural Glow Confidence In Your Glow

Flower Beauty Flower Pots Blush
The wow factor simply wasn’t there with the cutest Flower Beauty Flower Pots Blush release. The higher price compared to Milani’s version and the shorter wear time kind of made me a bit meh on them!

Maybelline Fit Me Blush
Maybelline took the initiative to re-package and relaunch their Fit Me Blush range but I say why bother? The formula isn’t all that great and the application was rather poor. If you’re going to relaunch make sure you perfect the texture and formula first!

Pretty Vulgar Make Them Blush
Pretty Vulgar’s blush formula has some mixed reviews but I have to say I really enjoyed the color I purchased. Luminous, pigmented, and very easy to apply I thought the formula was fantastic and worth exploring.

Kiko Summer 2.0 Baked Blush
If pigment is what you’re searching for Kiko’s Summer Baked Blush range brings it! These colorful, pigmented blushes blended silky smooth on cheeks and packed plenty of popping color!

Kiko Red Sunset Summer 2.0 Baked Blush

Which blushes have wowed you recently?

Do share them!

I have been wearing Benefit’s Galifornia nonstop since I got it. Love that blush!

    • Rebecca

Same here! Since I didn’t own any Benefit I bought the cheek palatte that had the Hoolas, Galifornia, Daisy, and Rocketeur and love all of them!

    • Janessa

I finally bit the bullet and bought Galifornia and have been wearing it everyday since.

Some day I’ll succeed in ordering the Lottie. Maybe today….onto your one day for Pacifica. Is Pacifica e/s any good? I got only 1 PV product, a blush in the darker mauve shade. Fine. Much of the PV packaging is cute and inventive, but the blush looks a bit tacky. Go go baroque and plastic metal, which is worse than pleather. Might depot it. Actually was in S (little. Everyone around here agrees how bloody nasty big S is.) Ulta, and N rack today. Think U is d/cling Couvent, so scooped some in the markdown section. The only newish blush I have is the one in the DTLA small palette. I liked the eponymous Caribbean shade in that palette, but went for an EL dupe. Had forgotten how decent EL blush can be. But my big score this week was Isehan heroine make mascara, without resorting to Amazon. In a local Asian marketplace. It is good, maybe not life altering, and every bit as hard to remove as everyone says. Will intragoogle your review, as am sure you reviewed it. You certainly were the first for all the AB/KB stuff.

I was looking for an illuminating style blush so I splurged and bought 2 of the baked blushes from Makeup Revolution while Ulta had them at buy one, get one half off. I figure this way if they suck, I at least got them on the cheap!

I recently bought a L’Oréal true match blush in C1-2 baby blossoms and I adore it! The formula is great! It is light, but gives the perfect glow/flush. You just have to be careful not to over apply!

  • Hayley

Crazy how you feel the flower pot blushes have a short wear time! I love them! They’re pretty much the only blushes I’ve been wearing lately! The one called I think warm hibiscus is a total NARS orgasm dupe!

  • Melany

My favorite blushes are Milani’s “Rose D’Oro” and NYX’s “Cinnamon.”

  • Marji

I love the tarte amazonian clay blushes and the becca blushes for their saturated pigmentation and longevity. I’ve also been loving theBalm’s Hot Mama as a dupe for NARS’s orgasm now that NARS is no longer cruelty-free. The Milani baked blushes are great drugstore ones as well (Luminoso is to die for). I know none of these are new, sorry, but I thought I’d share.

    • Isabella Muse

That’s ok!!!!!!! They are all great new or not 🙂 I love all those too!

I’m wondering if we’ll ever see those L’Oréal cushion blushes in the US. The discrepancy between what they roll out in the U.K./Europe and what shows up over here amazes me sometimes. I just bought the U.K. version of the Infallible blush palette (as well as a new stick blush) from feelunique.com. The U.K. palette comes in pink and peach versions and includes 5 shades (instead of 4 and a crappy brush). And remember the Sexy Balms that never made it over here? I ordered those from the U.K. and loved them. Sometimes I wonder what L’Oreal’s marketing people are thinking.

Agreed on UK vs US release! Very odd! Also Japan Maybelline releases vs US ones. We NEVER get the good stuff!
