Catrice Lip Dresser Shine Stylo ($7.99) is a new, must have shiny, lightweight lipstick that launched in six shade selections for Fall 2017. I do so love a great budget friendly lip product and Catrice is delighting us with quite a few this season.

Let’s check out the Lip Dresser Shine Stylo below.

Catrice Lip Dresser Shine Stylo is the perfect pick up if you’re tired of matte long-wearing lipsticks. This is a pigment rich lipstick with a high shine finish and a lightweight formula that veers well away from all the long-wearing, drier mattes we’ve seen the over the past year.

This little guy comes housed in a slimline click barrel that holds 0.04 oz of product. Yeah, it’s pretty small but good news Catrice is always on sale for Buy 1, Get 1 50% off at Ulta (it’s on sale right now!) so you never have to pay the full eight bucks for one. Did you catch that click pen comment about the packaging? Yup, this is a click pen! What?!?! A solid lipstick in a click pen!? What?! How? Why?! I’ve run into plenty of click pens be they lipglosses or creamy lipsticks or even concealer but a solid lipstick in this packaging? Never! I was somewhat puzzled by this style packaging in all honesty, but slowly, it grew on me.

How’s it work? Just click it one or two times and a small silver of the lipstick will be revealed for application. At first I was concerned as there’s technically not way to swivel it down once you click it up but no worries a simple click or two will deliver just the right amount of lipstick and any left over won’t get squashed once the cap was replaced. That was my main concern, I thought for sure it would get all squashed once I replaced the lid but nope, it was fine and ready for next use when I uncapped it. I actually like this packaging even if I was unsure of it at first. It’s quite slick and pretty cool I can click up the amount I need.

The packaging isn’t the only cool thing though, the formula is a gem as well. This is a super lightweight, thin textured lipstick that has the shiny look of a gloss and the color pay off of a lipstick. It glides on lips evenly and smoothly with a beautiful slick texture that feels lightly hydrating. A single stroke will leave behind opaque color and a glossy look with a wear time of around four hours with no migration of feathering during that wear and a super comfortable, weightless texture that doesn’t even feel like you’re wearing anything at all on your lips!

Love, love, love this formula and will be happily purchasing more.

So glad someone is paying attention to Catrice. And I really love reds on you. ‘Course, beauty bloggers should look great in all shades, but I bloody love you in red! Red lips pop your eyes superbly, more than pink on lips, which also looks great, but don’t quite light up the rest of your face as much. MOonly.

This looks very similar, in terms of both packaging and formula, to Laura Geller Shine Stick Lipstick, just with a different shape of the bullet (and far cheaper). I might have to track these down, since it looks like a great budget lipstick!

I literally got one of these today! I got “I carried a watermelon ” because of the name (awesome) and I’m attempting to step out of my comfort zone and sail into uncharted red lipstick territory for the first time in my life.

I agree…that color looks fabulous on you. And I’m so glad to see the good review…because one of those is due in here tomorrow, assuming UPS is right about my Ulta shipment (also trying out the new Real Techniques oval brushes). SO glad to see glossy, hydrating lip color again!!!

yay glad you’re getting one! LMK what you think when it arrives. my Real Techniques arrives on Tuesday! Been testing them out 😀

Nice, detailed review! Love the color on you, Muse, and the formula sounds wonderful (especially since I spent a day at work last week having a matte lip color pill on my lips and crumble off). I am going to wait for a BOGO 1/2 off even though I think Grapetown will be the only shade that will work for me. I may have to get I Carried A Watermelon for its name alone.

thanks dear! They were bogo last week sadly not this week but no worries they go on sale often 😀
