I love you all but if you never sat through at least three viewings of Hocus Pocus we can’t be friends any more. Naa, I’m kidding! I love you anyway! But seriously, Hocus Pocus is totally my jam. So are a million other beloved movies around this time of the year like Teen Witch. OMG THAT RAPPING SCENE!

But really, it all comes down to Binks and William “Billy” Butcherson doesn’t it? But more Binks than anything else….! Oh, and the Sanderson Sisters, oh and the Devil, oh and Sarah Jessica Parker singing, and oh the house! I visited 3 Ocean Ave a few years ago while I was in Salem, it looks much better in the film lol!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I like Hocus Pocus, but WOW some people really love Hocus Pocus! Worlds I didn’t know existed, but then I was late to learning that people liked kittehs and grown men apparently enjoy My Little Pony.

That entry mat is to die for, as is the rap that I only know from 30Rock!

lol yea Bronies are pretty hardcore 😀 There are a lot of great fandoms out there!

I LOVE the doormats and the fingernails! My favorite Halloween movie is Addams Family Values. It’s full of off-the-cuff snark and jokes. My favorite scene: When the kids are forced into the happy cabin and then when they come out, Wednesday forces herself to change her expression from disdainful and sullen to crazy psychotic happy. I have loved Christina Ricci ever since. And I love Pubert, the best baby name ever.

I liked the doormat too hehe! And by the way I enjoyed Addams Family Values too! ;-D

I like “Coraline” for Halloween viewing. Also, “Poltergeist” is one of the few scary movies I ever actually liked (I despise bloody movies and any movie in which women are tortured or killed as part of a horror movie plot).

  • Jennifer

This gave me so much joy! I hate scary movies during Halloween. So Hocus Pocus, Teen Witch, and It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown are my jam. Super cute ideas!

I could honestly watch this movie 100 times and never get sick of it. After all these years (mind you I am 35) It never gets old. I got my little ones watching it all of October lol

  • Nat

My fave Halloween movie is “Trick ‘r Treat”. It’s a modern day anthology horror film, with the heart and soul of an 80s slasher. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it.

I usually watch Sleepaway Camp again as well. No matter how many times I watch it, the ending always gives me goosebumps! 😀

This year, I’m going to watch a different horror movie every day of October, and they will all be ones I’ve never seen before. Maybe I’ll find some new faves!

I haven’t! Will add to my list! 😀 I’m ALWAYS shocked by the ending as well lol! I start breaking out the Halloween movies too come october! I like your idea of one a day 🙂 Maybe I’ll do that too!

OMG! Love me some Teen Witch! “I wanna be the most popular girl!” and “Top That!” are so my jams from that movie!!! Now I want to go home and watch it!
