L’Oreal Paris X Balmain Paris are Pre-Booking Now

L’Oreal Paris X Balmain Paris are now available at ulta.com. There are 12 exclusive matte shades that were designed by the very talented and young creative director of Balmain, Olivier Rousteing. I believe Olivier was 26 when he took over from Christophe Decarnin. Quite young for a creative director!

The shades are divided into three shade categories of Glamazone, Couture, and Rock. The shades are $14 each and available for a limited time. I ordered three that looked quite gorgeous to me but there are quite a few others that I have my eye on.

Shades include:

  • Confession
  • Liberation
  • Confidence
  • Urban Safari
  • Balmain Instinct
  • Glamazone
  • Freedom
  • Power
  • Legend
  • Rebellion

I already ordered these online at ulta.com but I feel like we might see these launch in drugstores soon after. None the less, I wasn’t taking chances missing out!

    I’m on the fence with these. While I think the packaging is gorgeous and the shade selection beautiful, I’m a little surprised that they cost $14. $14 for L’Oreal lipstick? I know, I know, Balmain designed these, but it’s still L’Oreal. LOL! I never balk at high prices, but I expect drugstore brands to cost a lot less than their higher end counterparts. I guess because they’re being sold at Barney’s first, L’Oreal and Balmain are clearly marketing these as higher end.

    Anyway, despite my hesitation, I’ll probably pick up a couple shades later today. Hah!

      But honestly though L’Oreal Lipstick is kinda costly anyway right? CVS has Colour Riche for like 10 bucks! I agree def higher end :-/

    Do you know when these will ship out? Barney’s just says in September, but doesn’t give a date. I ordered one color on 9/1 when the original pre-sale started, but when I check my order status, it says my order doesn’t exist. 🙁

      have you tried calling? I didn’t get an estimate of shipping on them sadly. I do see my order though in my account!

    ?? L’Oreal – at barney’s??? Whut the whut? they’re pretty but unless they show up at drugstores, Imma pass on them… Will you swatch the ones you got, Miss Muse? 🙂

    I pre-ordered Glamazone, but there are one or two others I am hoping to get if they land at a store near me. My Walgreens finally got the Shayla/Maybelline collab (of which I ended up buying nothing because three of six eye shadow colors weren’t to my taste), so perhaps they will get this, too.

    Yeah, it’s spendy, but come on. We all know that lipsticks cost about three dollars to make. The jig is up.

    Yeesh, $14 at Barney’s? I love L’Oreal lipsticks and was looking forward to these, but sadly they’re all matte. I’m sick of matte, especially lip products – literally the kiss of death for someone my age. : (

    I totally caved and ordered one from each sub-collection. I’m really excited for Balmain Instinct (green packaging – army green w/ gold sparkle). I’m not sure when I’d actually wear a color like that out, but by gosh, if I’m going to get a Balmain inspired lipstick then it’s going to be a fun runway color!

      So I got my order today and was super disappointed in the color payoff. The formula is comfortable but I had to swipe so many times to get total coverage and even then the seam of my lips was patchy/streaky. Le sigh~

    It may not be related, but I ordered two of the lipsticks off of the Barney’s site last night and within hours I was alerted by my bank that charges of over $2000 were made with my information. I hadn’t used my card online or in a store for 3 days prior to this purchase. Just wanted to let you know that you should check your credit and debit accounts just to be safe.

      that’s odd! I ordered as well using debit, no issues thank god. Thanks for the warning. Perhaps the two things were unrelated? I ordered candy apples last year from Mrs Prindables for a gift and six months later I had fraudulent charges from chipolite, tmobile, and a few other places on my debit card. I disputed it, closed the card, and two months later I got a note from Mrs Prindables stating they had a hack. So, I assume that was where it was from but damn six months later!? crazeee! Thanks again for the warning!
