Tarte Magic Star Collector’s Set for Holiday 2017

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Tarte Magic Star Collector’s Set is yet another Holiday 2017 Palette and Gift Set that dropped today! Phew! It’s getting hard keeping up with everything that the brand has going on this year for the Holidays but I do know one thing, we got some choices to make!

This is the third gift set they introduced with two others circulating as well which are the Tarteist Trove Collectors Set available exclusively at Macys and the Tarte Treasure Box Collectors Set which is available exclusively at Sephora. This is Ulta’s exclusive set!

The Magic Star Collector’s Set is $49 and available at tartecosmetics.com only so far. It includes 25 matte and metallic eyeshadows as well as 2 Amazonian Clay Blushes in Heir (peachy pink) and See (soft shimmer pink). It also includes:

  • Amazonian Clay Highlighter in Golden Champagne
  • Amazonian Clay Bronzer in Matte Bronze
  • Deluxe Tarteist Lash Paint Mascara
  • Deluxe Sex Kitten Eyeliner
  • Deluxe Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint in Castle (plum mauve)
  • Deluxe Taretist Glossy Lip Paint in Myth (rose)

I’m thinking this will either be exclusively available on Tarte’s site or perhaps this might be the Ulta Exclusive! But I doubt it, I think Ulta will have their own round of exclusives we can look forward to.

Tarte Magic Star Collector’s Set is available now at ulta.com.

    Argh! Can’t. Keep. Up.
Too much. I’m on makeup overload. This is insane and it’s only September!

I wish my eyelids didn’t eat tarte eyeshadows. Even with primer they don’t last long. I love the look of this one and the one from Macy’s.

I saw somewhere this was supposed to be ulta’s and I hope so. They sure have a lot this year!

All the Tarte sets look amazingg! In love w/ the packaging too. Gonna wait for reviews/swatches though. And yup Amber is right- Tarte commented on twitter that Magic Star Collector’s Set would be on Ulta.

I can’t decided between the treasure box and the Magic star any thoughts?!

    • Isabella Muse

I reviewed the treasure box and really liked it but haven’t tried the Magic Star as of yet!

Can you review the the magic star pallette? I like the colors of the magic star pallette better but I haven’t seen many reviews. Reviews I have seen don’t give it a good rating.

          Hi Jennifer,

I got the Magic Star palette and I have to say I’m disappointed in the pigmentation of some of the eye shadow colors. There were no reviews on the Ulta site when I bought it (there are now, and some echo my sentiments) and I know the holiday sets tend to be Made in China and inferior to the quality of the Tarte (Made in) USA products. But, I really liked the colors in this palette and decided to go for it. I haven’t tried the eyeliner, mascara, blushes or lip products yet, as I got it for the eyeshadows. The eyeshadows aren’t horrible, but there are a lot of light colors and colors that look like they are darker and they aren’t. I prefer a little bit darker shadow for my crease and lower eye and there were only a few in the whole palette. This is just my opinion though and I love Tarte stuff. I also got Big Book blush 3, which is also Made in China and I love that. So sometimes the holiday stuff is hit or miss….
