Need a Luxury Perfume Gift But You’re on a Budget?

So, you need a luxury perfume gift or fragrance gift set for a Holiday gift but you’re on a budget. I have good news for you! There are PLENTY of great places to get luxury fragrances and gift sets on the cheap.

In this post I’ll share two of my favorite haunting grounds for picking up high and mid-range perfumes at inexpensive prices and one new place that just popped up on my radar.

So, put down that perfume gift set from Macy’s or Ulta and sit back to read where you can get it cheaper.

Here’s the deets!

Fragrance is a really personal thing which makes it difficult to gift but that doesn’t prevent it from being one of the top gifts that people give during the Holidays especially Christmas, Valentine’s Day, and Mother’s Day.

If you have a Century 21 store in your city or town GO THERE NOW (if you don’t it’s ok, you can buy online at www.c21stores.com) and buy ALL THE cheapest fragrance gift sets! They have a huge assortment of single fragrances and gift sets that are knocked down 50% or more. I’ve hauled Marc Jacobs, Paco Rabanne, Carolina Herrera, Versace, and many, many more fragrance and gift sets from them for super cheap. I don’t know how they do it but they have some super knocked down prices. I suspect it’s older stock from Macy’s, Nordstrom, etc…but everything I’ve purchased has always been fresh.

If you really want a HUGE assortment and variety of fragrances both high-end, niche, celebrity, and otherwise I love fragrancenet.com. There prices are brilliant and they carry a lot of brands I love like Annick Goutal. Plus the mark down on items is obscenely low! You can buy celebrity fragrances from Britney Spheres for as little as $10 bucks.

And new to my radar is TJ Maxx! Well, not new! I’ve become addicted to TJ Maxx lately. At one time, I hated going there as it was like a Flea Market but they stepped up their game the last few years. But what’s new is their online site! You can now shop at tjmaxx.tjx.com/store! And yes, they have makeup, beauty, and most important fragrance! I’ve seen OPI on their site, Katy Perry Perfume, SKI-II skincare, and much, much more!

I hope these sites score you a deal on a beautiful fragrance gift for your loved ones.

Happy hauling!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I second FragranceNet.com. I’ve ordered from them several times and haven’t been disappointed. My only issue with them has been purchasing perfumes I haven’t tested prior – I haven’t liked all of them. But that’s a me-issue. Prices are especially good if you get the sample/tester bottles that may not have the fancy caps.

I blind buy too from them but I never regretted a purchased yet 😀

The Costco in my area also sells high end perfumes for about $50 for full size bottles.

Annick Goutal rules. You get me going on this bigger topic, scent. Cross-referencing Fragrantica and Lucky Scent, cruising CBIHPand BPAL…it’s really nice to be able to get a little decant from LS. I can buy good m/u for others, but could not pick scents at all, except for oldie besties. Good tips.

    • Isabella Muse

Agreed! She’s one of my favs ;-D I love LS does samples! It’s nice to be able to try before indulging 2 or 3 hundred dollars on a bottle.

Thanks for the post Muse. I didn’t know C21 had a website. I used to live in NY so it brings back memories! I also buy perfumes on Amazon and Target sometimes. They have some nice prices that are worth comparing. Btw, I love TJ website! So much better than their dusty underground city stores!!

    • Isabella Muse

My pleasure! Yes! They do ;-D It’s always nice because sometimes store stock is destroyed! so shopping online can be a nicer experience! I buy on Amazon too sometimes ;-D AMEN on the TJ Maxx site. I really don’t love TJ Maxx sometimes because they are a MESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! One store I go too literally has mounds of shoes that are literally up to my waste just laying on the floor!

If you have outlets near you, check out the Luxury Beauty Outlet. It’s Loreal’s outlet, so they have tons of high end makeup and fragrances at least 30% off, if not more.

Don’t forget Overstock .com. I haven’t been in a Century21 in ages. Thanks for the website info.

Marshalls and TJX have good prices and the TJX in NYC on 6th Ave. has a fairly wide fragrance selection, but I love TJX online now too! I placed my first order last month; a bunch of clearance beauty products that arrived in pristine condition. I got such a kick out of that because by the time beauty products get marked down in-store, they’re usually pretty grubby. I like Amazon too. I’ve never had a problem, but based on the reviews I’ve read you need to be really careful about the seller. Ross is another good spot for people with one where they live; unfortunately there isn’t one in the city. I got a bottle of Hanae Mori Butterfly there once for sixteen bucks! I can’t believe I didn’t know about the fragrance deals at C21 though, definitely will be checking there from now on.

I love going to TJ and Marshalls and the selection is pretty awesome but they tend to picked over majorly 🙁 Everything is always opened, squirted, and squeezed. I love they sell online now. I ordered from them recently and it was all brand new, never been touched and still awesome prices. SCORE ;-D You do! Amazon/Ebay is full of scammers. I’ve purchased bottles that have obviously been tempered with. C21 has stupid crazy deals ;-D Do check them out!

Thanks ladies for the tips! Perfume is so expensive I’ll be checking them out and will be smelling like a roasted nut by Christmas! Lol! True with TJ Max or Marshall’s especially the big TJMax I go to near LAX it is pretty clean not messy at all but the makeup area you need to make sure and open it if you decide to purchase something. I mostly love to check brushes and have found great ones. Lots of it have been swatched. Yuck! But I do find fun stuff there. Ross is another one they are pretty decent but on a weekend some have shoes scattered all over the floor. I have found at Ross these Gotta B’ Urban highliters one in light pink the other on another trip a light gold one to my surprise they turned out beautiful when I first tried at home I almost screamed in delight. Also a City Color silvery one which has many small squares in different colors not bad but I do love the Gotta’ B’ Urban mostly from Ross all come in this round shape. I do have the three Milani ones with the teeny rose designs from CVS and love those beautiful and very fine talc and then pretty much all of WetnWild untilthe four recent ones. I think I’m good on highliters still dreaming of the NARS one is lovely. 🙂

That’s really helpful info as the Christmas season hots up and you can find some bargains for yourself and others.
For Australian readers of your site, I can suggest My Beauty Spot – the online site is sadly more expensive than the pop up shops found in the major Westfield retail centres. These little shops are phenomenal.
Another great place is Priceline and Buyinvite.com.au.

Scented Monkey! http://www.scentmonkey.com/ Funny name, great prices. The website can be a bit wonky – they’re working on it, but the deals! I’ve been shopping there for years with great success and savings. They’re not on eBates or Mr. Rebates anymore, but still the deals are terrific!
