The Holidays are almost over and the Spring 2018 launches are in full force and that means you’ll be flooded with plenty of new mascaras formulas to check out that promise you longer, fuller, and outrageously looking lashes.

Ahhh….! If only they delivered on all those great promises!

But if you’re lash crazy here are 10 new mascaras to check out!

I wasn’t terribly impressed with it but Covergirl Peacock Flare Mascara ($7.89) (Review) might catch your eye if you’re a fan of the brand’s mascaras. This one promises to separate and fan lashes apart for a fluttery appearance.

Rimmel never fails to gift us with at least two to three new mascaras per a season! Their latest is the Volume Colourist Mascara ($4) which sports a tapered lash-intensifying brush that coat lashes and gives them a longer, fuller appearance. But wait, there’s more! The formula contains a lash tinting complex that natural darkens your lashes over times so, if you have pale, fair lashes this will give them a darker more visible appearance.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Plumping Waterproof Mascara ($8.99) is a no hydrating mascara formula that plumps and strengthens drier, brittle lashes and gives them a longer, silkier, glossier appearance.

Almay Liquid Lash Extenders Mascara ($6.74) is a new fiber and tuving formula that extends lashes and gives them a length and fullness.

I figure anything called Worth The Hype Mascara ($7.99) is worth trying! NYX’s newest formula promises a buildable formula that lenghtens even your smallest, baby lashes at the corners of your eyes with a tapered tip brush that adds length and volume.

Lorac Royal Treatment Primer & Mascara Duo ($24) pairs up their deep, black mascara up with a primer that ensures you get the longest, fullest, and most dramatic lashes in all the land plus the blue-black finish makes your eyes look brighter.

If soft, fluffy lashes are the look you want the new Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara has got you covered with a creamy, whipped formula that contains coconut extract to give lashes a soft, fluttery appearance.

L’Oreal new two step Voluminous X Fiber Mascara uses lightweight fibers to lenghten lashes and give them a fuller look. First prime your lashes with the lash primer and next coat them with the lightweight, fiber-infused mascara that promises 7x the volume!

Maybelline Lash Sensational Curvitude Mascara ($6) is equipped with a specially curved applicator that grabs lashes at the root to lift them up and out for a curved up curled finish.

I don’t know how many people are willing to spend $45 on mascara but Tom Ford Shutter Lash Mascara had better wash the dishes and take out the dog for me at this price. This soft dual-fiber formula creates a heavier, sultry lash look that compliments smoky eyes.

Any new mascaras you’re waiting to launch and can’t wait to try?

Do share ’em!

Mascara’s are a nightmare for me. Most smudge, flake, or just fail miserably. Usually whatever brand mascara everyone else loves, is a fail for me. Great example – Too Faced Better than Sex. Major fail. Only 2 kinds of mascara’s that I like: Lorac Pro and L’Oreal Lash Paradise. I can never find Lorac in stock at Ulta or Kohl’s. The Lash Paradise works nicely, however, it seems to completely dry up in a couple of weeks. blah blah

The Neutrogena HydroBoost looks interesting, as well as the Maybelline Total Temptation and Almay Liquid Lash Extenders. Have you tried them yet, Muse?

Aw sorry to hear it 🙁 I haven’t tried Neutrogena yet nor the Maybelline but I have a review upcoming for the Almay today ;D It’s ok, nothing to write home about sadly!

Ugh, I agree with Becca. I’m always looking for the next great mascara only to be let down. I do really like Lash Paradise right now but of all the mascaras I bought this year, that is the only one I repurchased. CG Peacock Flare was a total let down. I had high hopes for it but it was just meh.

I agreed with Becca and Carol G, Musey girl. A mascara that curls, adds volume, and does not flake or smudge ? I have still not found one 😀 I hope you had a Merry Christmas and here is to a Happy New Year! xoxox

me either 🙂 don’t feel bad! and to you! I hope you had a lovely one and wishes for health and happiness in the New Year!

Not sure a HG mascara can be done. Everyone wants different benefits, though these benefits are in a general category. Sorry the Almay is gonna suck. I can find a s-ton of 4/5 mascaras, and the odd 4.5, but who ever sees a 5? And the issue is doubled, when you use different formulas top and bottom. Even the ones you like either get worse in formula and become unreliable, get replaced by the latest hypefest, or just get d/c’d. I’ve been searching for ~50years. Some days, I think not changing up everything seasonally and concentrating on the core collections was a good thing. (Other days, i’m as much of an acquisitive makeup slut as any.) But, the hunt is half the fun, and with the reasearch, we can pretend mental exercise.

I’m about ready to just take the splurge and buy Latisse or that Rodan & Fields stuff that everyone is raving about, then the mascara problem is fixed! Lol

I have been using the Rodan and Fields serum since Sept…..I am very pleased with the results….I am 61 years old,and my pretty lashes I had were short…..Now they are almost too long…..I still have some left in the tube after using it since Sept.

My HGs are Tarte Gifted and Touch in Sol Paper Pusher. But I’m always a sucker to try something new. I may try the Almay, but nothing has impressed me from them in a while. This spring release has intrigued me however.

The Maybelline Total Temptation is good. Separates well, not clumpy. One coat is very minimal, but with two, I get a lengthened, defined look. I like it!

Mascara is not too important in my makeup life as I wear glasses all the time and I don’t want windshield wiper streaks on them. So mascaras that promise to ‘lenthen’ my lashes is out. However I want one that doesn’t smudge, dries quicky and ups the volume a little. The Physicians Formula Argon Oil one was pretty good. I don’t believe in spending a lot of money on mascara because a lot of the DS brands offer good variety. Currently I am using a Rimmel one – so far so good.

Happy new year! I have sorta given up on mascara. I tinted my eyelashes inky black which solves some of my problems except no volume……Any ideas would be appreciated……v
