5 New Beauty Finds at Sephora

Sephora is busy stocking up on plenty of new skincare and other beauty goodies now that Spring is headed our way. I’m not really a big Spring lover. I tend to look forward to the Fall makeup and beauty launches but two things I do love about this time of the year would be that there are plenty of new skincare options around this time of the year. And secondly, Japanese color collections tend to be bigger around this time of the year with many new options. I just purchased the newly packaged Jill Stuart Loose Blush from Japan and I’m looking forward to its arrive. I have the old potted blushes but this new one looks quite cute if not a little impractical for application!

But I digress, you don’t need to head abroad for Spring as there are plenty of options right here in the US at Sephora to enjoy.

Here are a few new beauty finds at Sephora that caught my eye.

Tatcha Pore-Perfecting Moisturizer & Cleanser Duo $25
Tatcha isn’t exactly the cheapest skincare in the world so, I was quite excited to see this duo of products for a mere $25! The set includes a 1.7 oz The Deep Cleanse Cleanser as well as a 0.35 oz of The Water Cream.

Sephora Cleansing Oil-in-Balm $18
I’m obsessed with cleansing balm which means I do definitely want to try out Sephora’s version. This soft cleansing balm transforms into an oil upon contact with skin and breaks down dirt, oil, and makeup easily.

Farmacy Honey Butter Beeswax Lip Balm $10
Farmacy hasn’t failed me yet and with my dry lips this 100% natural lip balm sounds a treat to hydrate and smooth my lips with a mix of royal jelly honey, beeswax, and cupuacu butter. It also acts as a primer to fill lines and smooth lips before applying color!

Beauty Blender Blender Cleanser Solid Chill Swirl $16
This solid brush cleaner makes it a snap to get your brushes super clean quickly! Simply wet your brush and swirl it around the solid soap and than proceed to use the included pink silicone pad to gently break down makeup on the bristles of your brushes.

J Goldcrown for Sephora Collection: Bleeding Hearts Sponge Set $16
What is it about hearts? This cute collection of pull-apart, heart-shaped blending sponges are too adorable and will help you blend your concealer and foundation to a flawless finish!

These are all available now at sephora.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Thanks for the info Muse. The lip balm looks good and the Sephora cleaning oil.

What was that sound? Oh, it was just my resolve not to buy more skincare getting flushed down the . Gotta try the Sephora cleansing balm (and hope it doesn’t suck as hard as the walmart brand one did) and the Tatcha set…

Thanks for killing my resolve, Muse!

I don’t understand spending money on a brush cleaner. I use liquid hand soap or shampoo and it works just fine. If the bristles feel rough, I swirl them in conditioner thinned with water, then rinse. I have brushes that are 35 years old and still in almost new condition, even ones that I use every day.

Note: Always lay bushes flat on a counter with the bristles hanging over the edge. If you put them upright in a container, the water runs down into the handle loosening the glue and damaging the finish if the handles are painted or varnished.

Yeah, I almost purchased the Jill Stuart blush. I still kind of want to. Haha! It’s such cute packaging and looks like it’ll give me a soft flush of colour.

I kind of still do too but you know it’ll probably be a mess lol!

A very good friend of mine lives in Tokyo and gets them for me or I used to get them from gooddealer.com and bobodave. Gooddealer appears to have went out of business sadly. You can also try the JS Flagship Store in Soho. They ship I believe! They didn’t get Spring last time I was there but should soon I imagine!

The cleansing balm sounds pretty good to me, so too does the Tatcha brand. That’s a good deal. But I think I have a year’s worth of skincare products to get through first……
