Stila Ultimate Spring 2018 Kit is Bound to Start a New, Crazy Trend!

If we’re honest with ourselves which is rare because the Nile is a real thing in the makeup world and not just located in Egypt, we’d admit that we do indeed want, scratch that, we need every single shade of Stila Shimmer & Glow and Glitter & Glow Eyeshadow. Some of that need was appeased when Stila introduced their Starry-Eyed Liquid Eye Shadow Vault late last year.

I am so hooked on these eyeshadows it isn’t even funny and I really, really, really wish they’d do a matte version. I’d be all over that. A matte brown? YES! A matte taupe!? YES! I’d totally be on board with that.

Anyway, Stila is being a little ridiculous with their latest launch vault! The Ultimate Spring Kit is massive and the price is pretty darn crazy. It’s a lot to dish out in one go! Nearly $500 bucks but you are getting nearly $1000 worth of product. So, if you do have the money to splurge this might just be for you!

I suppose the mentality is that most people are going to buy one or all pieces from a collection anyway so, why not put it into one set?

    This seems so excessive to me. Unless you are a unicorn (of the rare kind, not the sparkly highlighter kind), every shade a company comes out with not work on your complexion. And a lot of the shades will end up looking quite similar on you. IDK, I’m a huge makeup junkie, but I’ve decided to make 2018 the year that I spend a lot more time looking at your blog and instagram swatches and a lot less time buying stuff that will just lay in a drawer. I did a huge makeup clean up over the weekend and I threw away an entire bath and body works bag of makeup, a lot of it lip stuff that smelled like crayon and had separated. Looking for stuff I’m actually going to use and love, not collect.

      that’s very, very smart! A purge is always a good idea and buying items you want but don’t feel you NEED just because is an excellent rule of thumb 😀

      Kish, I agree. This is excessive. My promise to myself is not to jump on buying a new palette just because it’s NEW or LE. I am going to wait and if I still want it I will only purchase it if it goes on sale. You are correct: I, too, have way too much makeup and it’s getting out of control. I am seriously reeling myself in this year.

    I think a good way to enjoy a big kit like this — although great if you can afford it and like all the shades — is to go in with several friends and split both the cost and the items. That way each person could hopefully get a good deal plus colors that work for her.
