Ready for something new? How about a Bare Mineral Gen Nude Eyeshadow Palette? Yup, Bare Mineral Gen Nude Eyeshadow Palette launch today in four shades along with a brand new Gen Nude Eyeshadow + Primer in eight shades (can I squeal a little that there’s a terracotta shade! I look so good in terracotta!).

These new palettes join the Gen Nude Lip and Blush Collection that launched earlier this year.

Let’s take a look!

Well, how much do these look like MAC Holiday Palettes from days of old!? MAC favored this style palette for quite a few launches in the early 2000’s.

I’m not sure I haven’t compared all the shades yet and haven’t seen these in person yet.

  • Jujubes

More nudes! I hope they come out with something cool-toned for a change.

  • TraceyMc

Oooo I think I may need all of these especially the Latte and Copper ones !!!

  • kjh

I guess if you haven’t seen these yet, you can’tknow If the Gen Nude formula is the same as the Ready formula. Ready is quite nice.

  • Agona

Figured launching a new shadow formula was their next move since they seemed to be discontinuing the READY line. I hope they do a Statement Luxe version for their blush and shadows too.

    • Denise

The READY line is being discontinued? But they keep bringing out the big palettes?

    • kjh

Seriously, Ms A? Not meaning to be critical, but is this your personal inference and observation, or is there s.t. you know that I don’t? Ready ought not be improved upon. It’s like MUFE or Sephora house brand. The redos will be worse…for what reason, cost cutting and greater margins?

      • Isabella Muse

Seems logical considering how many of the ready palettes have been on sale lately!

      • Agona

I love the Ready shadows. They’ve already phased out the pressed Ready foundation and all the bronzers except Skinny Dip. They’re phasing out the Ready blushes now that the Gen Nude blushes are out. It makes sense that eyes are next; BE typically introduces their new formulas in phases with some overlap but the core/permanent Ready collection of duos and quads are already been phased out.

        • Agona

There’s a forum post on a BE fan forum that mentions that the blushes were being discontinued in favor of the Gen Nude blushes to be more on trend with the current market. I’ve tried one of the new blushes and I like it; I just wish they had more pops of color.

  • Terri

These are gorgeous! I like the smaller palettes. Hope the formula is nice

  • Ann Marie

I bought the Neutral version on eBay a couple of weeks ago. It is nice. The formula seems similar to the Ready formula. Because I am very fair and have deepset eyes, I was disappointed at how dark most of the colors are. At least two of each palette are in the “eyeliner only” category for me, and the middle two also tend to be fairly dark. I also wish they had brought out a cooler palette and something with more color. Most of these colors fall in a broad warm neutral spectrum. They are still neglecting their loose eyeshadows also.

  • Penny

I have to say these look beautiful. I looooove the Gen Nude Blush and Lip Colors, so I will probably cave and get at least one of these palettes. 🙂

  • lily

Do you know if these are ulta exclusive? I hope these will be available in Europe! Such lovely neutrals<3

    • Isabella Muse

I don’t think so as I saw them in BE stores this weekend! I imagine other stores will be getting them!

    • TraceyMc

I ordered the Latte one on Ebay from a seller with great feedback , it worked out at €39 including shipping and custom fees so I figure they will be about €30 if they launch in the EU so jt really had a little extra for shipping . I may go back and get the others via Ebay too 😉

  • Maria

Why, oh why. I’m supposed to be on a no buy following the Sephora spring sale but these look soooooo good! Really digging the Rose and Copper palettes. I will probably be able to find dupes for most of the colors in my collection but will still talk myself into buying at least on of these at some point lol.
The Gen Nude line is fantastic overall. Their blush is my favorite formula at the moment so I’m sure the shadows won’t disappoint.
Great too see BareMinerals getting buzz again, I’ve always liked their products!

    • Agona

Yeah, I wonder if they timed it on purpose to miss the Ulta 20%/Sephora 15% off sale…sad panda.

      • Denise

The good thing about ULTA 20% off sales is that there’ll be another one in a couple of months! Also, doesn’t BareMinerals usually have an F&F in June?

          • Denise

I own so many eyeshadows that I’ve imposed a hard and fast rule on myself- “thou shalt not pay retail”!

        • Agona

I love that rule. I impose that rule on clothing. Not very good about beauty!

  • Agona

Why are stock photos on Ulta so terrible color-wise to Sephora’s photos? Also, 3 of the 4 palettes and 1 of the 2 mascaras but not the eyeliner or brow pencil are appearing on Sephora now.

    • Isabella Muse

good question! It seems like Ulta plays with the resolution and the colors come across wrong! Thanks for the update! I didn’t see them on Sephora yet!
