Becca Dreamsicle Was Worth Jumping On Today

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Becca Dreamsicle Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter is a new, limited edition shade that launched today which I admit to jumping on top of as soon as I saw it launched. Friday our discount kicks in and Rouge Members can start taking 15% off their entire purchase at Sephora and Sephora.com but I admit I didn’t want to play a waiting game with Becca Dreamsicle for fear it would sell out fast.

I know, I know you’re thinking, “But you hate highlighters…!”

I do! I really do! But I have a certain love for Becca’s formula not to mention this safe is a gorgeous tangerine with gold pearl how could I resist that?! Orange, peach, coral, those are my favorite shades! I had to have this, you get it right?

I’m already thinking of which shades of blush I can combine with this yummy shade to get a pretty orange-y glow on my face.

I’m looking forwarding to getting it.

Becca Dreamsicle Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter is available now at Sephora.com. My advice? Don’t wait for Friday! I think this one will disappear by that time. Hopefully I’m wrong about that and in some ways I hope I’m not as I’ll kick myself for buying it full price.

Are you grabbing it?

I LOVE all things Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector, and was so underwhelmed when I saw this last night. I bought the Parisian Lights highlighter as soon as it was available, but this one, its just not doing it for me. I want to have it for the packaging… For the first time I’m going to wait to see some good swatches… Then I’ll pick it up when my sale code kicks in next week (I lost Rouge last year – sad face). Hopefully your review will be up by then 😉

I saw swatches that looks gold are those the ones you saw!? Or did you actually see it in person? Please please tell me it was just promo images and not in “real life” otherwise I’ll be devastated! I’m so hoping this is the golden tangerine that it looks like ;-D I’ll def having it live shortly! I was scared it would sell out so I said meh I’m jumping on it 😀

OH no, not in person! I WISH I was that exciting that I have Becca insider info. Just the swatches I saw on Insta this morning. I’m pretty light, not exactly fair, but I have olive undertones, and I don’t think this one will work for me at all. BUT I have quite the skin perfector collection going, and LOVE when they do special packaging. So I’m sure I’ll be updating you soon with my purchase 😀

I saw the same and I was light meh! But after a minute I was like hm might look good over coral blush! I have warmer undertones, consider myself light medium, and think it’ll look good over a brighter peach or coral. Think that might work? I admit I suck at highlighting so I am guilty of using a dusting on the tops of my cheek bones to give my blush a luminous look if that makes sense. I can’t believe how much I like these because typically I’m not really a big highlighter person but I tried the Jaclyn duos and loved them so much that I just started buying all the ones that launched ;D

  • Janessa

I definitely think you’re onto something with the peachy blushes. I bet it will be beautiful over Orgasm… Oh man. I just justified buying it for myself LOL

  • ruth

I bet it will look good on the eyes too, a shimmering monochrome look. now I’ve talked myself into buying it too!

I’m extremely tempted by this but I’m wondering if I need it since I have the ABH Aurora palette which has a peach highlighter and I also have the peach blush/highlighter duo from the colourpop collection with the butterflies. Even if it’s a little different, maybe it’s not different enough to drop $40 on this? Hm. What do you think? It’s difficult with a new product without a lot of swatches out there yet.

I didn’t want to wait for fear it would sell out tbh! That’s why I jumped on it. I was worried someone would review it and I’d love it and on Friday it would disappear! But you might want to wait! worst case if it sells out they’ll be hundreds of other things that pop up that you’ll want and you’ll forget about it 🙂

I don’t know – it was totally worth it to me to pay full price and use the HOLYGRAIL promo code. Let’s be honest – 15% of $38 is only $5.70 and those promo items are worth more than that to me. And we all know you cannot use promo codes along with the discount code.

I ordered it today with 20%off and free shipping from Becca… My collection NEEDED the white saucer more thank ANYTHING right now. I called it my bday present to myself this year. 33 on Wednesday! Agh! 🙂

    • Isabella Muse

happy early bday ;-D Let me know how it goes! I haven’t had a sec to review yet 🙂 sorry!!!!!!

I received mine a few days ago and I’m on the fence. It’s beautiful but it looked familiar to me so I dug through my drawer of highlighters and noticed I had a few already similar since it does pull so golden on me. I found a great cheap dupe for those who don’t want to pay $38.00. The E.L.F. prismatic highlighting duo in Siren’s Call is almost identical for $8. It has a split pan. One side is a slightly more peachy toned than Becca’s than the other is a gold tone. If you swipe the gold over the peach it looks identical to Dreamsicle. Of course you’re sacrificing quality. The E.L.F. is not very smooth and a bit chunky whereas Becca applies as expected smooth and creamy. Just thought I’d share another option that I found by accident.

I got mine too and I haven’t dug into it yet but thankfully no dupes I know of. I’m a little concerned that it looks chalky in the pan and lighter than I hoped for. I’m going to swatch it up soon and play see how it goes 😀

I just realized I was replying through my email notification. Doh. Lol. Anyhoo I ended up returning my Becca highlighter and went to go pick up the Smashbox Iridescent petal one at Sephora and it was gone from the website. Really strange, not like out of stock but like it had never existed. But..I was browsing new Target makeup and Coloured Raine glowlighter in Just Peachy looks like more of what I was hoping the Becca would. It looks beautiful. Anyone ever tried?
