Makeup Geek Launches at Target

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

beauty news

Makeup Geek Cosmetics is now available at target.com. I have no idea if they plan to carry the range in stores but as of now a few of Makeup Geek’s popular makeup picks are available on the Target website.

Just yesterday, I was discussing how Sephora and Ulta have been going head to head lately but Target still garners a lot of attention due to the fact they carry unique and niche brands. And now they have Makeup Geek Cosmetics in stock? Well played Target.

This is a well deserved notch in Marlena Stell’s belt as she’s a hard working blogger, youTuber, and influencer for many, many years now. I believe she’s also launching a clothing line shortly as well.

So, anyone who adores Makeup Geek you can now shop it on Target’s site and hopefully soon in stores.

What do you think of these development?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I’d be thrilled, if this were five years ago, before a CS debacle that put me off MUG for good. It’s not the money lost; it’s the non-response to their error on doubling my order. MUG can GFT, and I watched/read Marlena BITD, when you, Christine, and Marlena were the only good games in town, well before her brand. Now she’s like so many others in entertainment-allied fields. A brand unto herself. GMWAspoon.

Wow! I like this because as blee said, now we can see the product in person before purchase. I bought quite a bit last year and no matter how much you study the pictures it’s hard to really tell what you are going to get. Very good news!

This is welcome news. MUG seems to have lost its momentum … maybe because some of their prices went a little nuts … but I’d love to be able to buy their stuff at Target or Target.com. Thank you for reporting on this.

oh my pleasure :)! I think a lot of stuff has lost its momentum in the blogger world. I associate MUG with being one of the first beauty blogs and with the intro of instagram a lot of beauty bloggers (and their brands in this case) seems to have got pushed to the sidelines for more speedier reviews/news/and swatches on Insta 😛

Frankly, I doubt that MUG will have anything beyond a small (for them) selection of their most popular products and neutrals there. I have yet to see a full line of any brand there, say, as compared to brand.com.

Hi Muse. Super happy that Sephora and Ulta aren’t the only game in town now but I felt like I woke up in an alternate reality this morning when I went on Wal-Mart.com and realized they are now selling premium beauty AKA NARS, Tarte, CALDALIE and so many more. When did this happen?

    • Isabella Muse

Walmart doesn’t but sellers do. Walmart works a lot like Amazon in the fact they allow sellers to peddle their wares on their site. The items are purchased from Walmart but are shipped from other sellers. 🙂

      • Lottie

Ok. That makes sense. I kinda put that together when I saw the different sellers with different prices. Just so VERY weird. Thanks as always. You ROCK!!!!!

        • Isabella Muse

It is kind of weird!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I believe Sears or JCPenny’s and also KMart does that. Like around the Holidays I’ll look for Christmas decor on these sites and I noticed none of it was shipping from the source and I was like wait, what? I finally realized they allow sellers! My pleasure dear xoxoxoxo 🙂
