Topshop The Foundation is a new serum-like foundation that Topshop launched earlier this Fall with a selection of new facial base products such as primer and concealer. Honestly, if you told me last week I’d be using Topshop The Foundation and loving it, I’d likely have called you a liar.
Although Topshop makeup has been very, very impressive thus far I must say a foundation takes me outside my comfort zone. We’re seeing so many department stores doing makeup collection lately such as H&M and Forever 21, etc….some of the products they get right, others they don’t but foundation is always a sacred product for me and not something I’d think to get at my local clothing store.
But here’s Topshop, proving me wrong.
Lush Reindeer Rock Soap is an absolute must have for Comforter fans because it indeed smells exactly like Lush Comforter!
I remember when I first smelled Comforter…it took me back to when I was about 7 or 8 years old and my mom brought me a Hello Kitty Pencil Box and a Hello Kitty Eraser. That eraser smells wonderful! I’ve since associated it with the smell of Sanrio!
To me, Comforter, and the new limited edition Lush Reindeer Rock Soap, smells like Sanrio and Hello Kitty erasers.
They told me The Body Shop Red Musk Eau de Parfum smelled like cinnamon and intense tobacco. So I ran away screaming, arms flaying above my head. Rewind….I remember in a land not so far away the first time I was told Lush Ginger smelled like an old ashtray. Not appealing at all. I tried it skeptically and fell head over and heels in love with it.
Don’t write off The Body Shop Red Musk Eau de Parfum notes because although they sound like an odd pairing this fragrance is perfect for the grown up in us all.
Vita Bath Spice is Nice and Sweet Pink Peppermint are two new, limited edition Holiday 2014 fragrances that make an appearance in the new Vita Bath Holiday Body Wash & Lotion Carrier! You must, must get this cutesy carrier for not only yourself but a stocking stuffer as well!
Lush Baked Alaska Soap doesn’t really smell like Baked Alaska. When I was a child I always thought Baked Alaska was a fancier named for baked apples. My mom used to place apples in foil with cinnamon, sugar, and spices and bake them. They would come out of the oven all deliciously Fall and yummy! And for some reason I always associated them with Baked Alaska. No idea why?!
Needless to say when I was older and tried Baked Alaska for the first time it was nothing like those tasty apples and if anything was even more decadent.
Lush Baked Alaska Soap is a lot like those apples I had mistaken for an ice cream cake because this little soap is deceiving. There’s no ice cream here, no meringue, there is however, a tart, citrus-y treat that will make your nose tingle in happiness!
