Not Impressed But Let’s Unbox the Sephora Play July 2016 Box

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

Sephora Play July 2016 Box

My Play by Sephora Box for July 2016 arrived about two weeks ago but I didn’t get a chance to do an unboxing! Sorry about that. As you may or may not know Sephora Play is Sephora’s new beauty box subscription service. The service is $10 a month and features 5 to 8 samples and deluxe sizes of new and exciting products.

My first box arrived back in May and I expressed some disappointment with the contents. I decided to stick with the service and so far, I’ve been ok with the contents but not terribly excited. I think as a beauty blogger much of the content are items I’ve already tired or purchased for myself. I wish they would include some super new and exciting.

The good news is that Sephora Play July 2016 Box actually did contain a product I wanted to try. It was a full size of the Blotterazzi by Beauty Blender. Sephora sells these in a pack of 2 for $20 and they gift you with a single, full size blotter in this month’s box. To me this covers the cost of the box and anything else inside is basically free.

Here’s a look inside.

Givenchy Le Prisme Superstellar for Fall 2016

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Givenchy Le Prisme Superstellar

Let me brutally honest, I just want the new Givenchy Le Prisme Superstellar Eyeshadow Palette for one shade! I love, love the peach shade in this palette and I know it would look fab on me!

But really, the whole palette is divine!

The Givenchy Le Prisme Superstellar is a limited edition Fall 2016 launch that inspired by super heroes and heroines. How perfect for a geek like me! The palette is laid out with three cosmic stars that can be used on your face or your eyes. The plum shade acts to create a pretty smoky looks on eyes while the pink coral (the shade I adore!) acts as a blush or an upper lid shade, and the titanium can be used to add a hint of sparkle to eyes and cheeks.

Shades:

  • Pink Coral (matte peach tone)
  • Titanium (glittery silver)
  • Plum (glittery purple)

The Givenchy Le Prisme Superstellar will be available for a limited time and is on counters now at neimanmarcus.com.

Obsessed with Kleenex Cotton Soft Pads

This was provided to me by a brand for review but all opinions expressed are my own

Kleenex Cotton Soft Pads

East meets west with these brand new Kleenex Cotton Soft Pads ($4.99) that are one of several brand new facial complexion products that Kleenex released a few short months ago. Kleenex is a brand we’ve associated and possibly trusted our noses for years. There super soft tissues are a staple on my desk in the Winter! But now Kleenex is branching out into the beauty world with some fun and exciting skincare tools and products.

If you know me you know I’m obsessed with Shiseido Facial Cloth and Suzuran Lily Bell Patting Cotton Puffs. Well, actually, I’m just obsessed with any Asian facial and cotton cloth really. Don’t get me wrong, I like Swisspers as much as the next person but I always found Japanese cotton much sturdier and stronger!

Until now! I’m utterly obsessed with these new Kleenex Cotton Soft Pads. They not only do a great job removing makeup but you can multitask using them in a variety of ways with your favorite skincare products.

Lipstick Queen Black Lace Rabbit for Fall 2016

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Lipstick Queen Black Lace Rabbit

Lipstick Queen Black Lace Rabbit Lipstick arrives for the Fall 2016. Black Lace Rabbit Lipstick is Lipstick Queen’s newest shade sensation. This mysterious, sheer black lipstick is like a piece of black lace for your lips. You can wear it alone to create a smokey veil over your own natural lip color or over your own lipstick to transform the color and create a smokier version of it. It’ll likely look amazing over a matte red lipstick!

The gold flecks in the formula play off the black shade and create a candlelit effect! Poppy King, founder of Lipstick Queen says, draws inspiration from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and her tumble down the rabbit hole. There’s even a gorgeous video that Poppy created with the fabled Black Lace Rabbit making an appearance.

With the wild success of shades like Frog Prince and Hey, Sailor! I don’t doubt that many fans of the brand will flock to get their hands on the very gorgeous Black Lace Rabbit shade.

I know I want it.

What do you think?

I’m always wanting to pull off black lipstick but obviously look like a dork! I def can do something sheerer though!

Lipstick Queen Black Lace Lipstick is available now at SpaceNK.com as well as at Barneys.com and on lipstickqueen.com. I hope to see it soon at Ulta.com and Nordstrom.com. Don’t forget Space NK’s Explore Sale is on! Using promo code EXPLORE60 gets you $20 off your $100 purchase!
