Makeup wonders never cease to amaze me. I remember a time…now I’m going to start sounding like my father reminiscing about how he had to walk to school, in the snow, with no shoes on, and the school happened to be a hike from his home town of Arcos (p.s. if you clinked that link, my cousins and I used to swim in that lake as a child! True story!) all the way to Lisboa, but I remember a time when drugstore makeup was something I turned my nose up to. It simply wasn’t something I wished to indulge in here in the US. Granted, outside the US I was more than happy to toss my hard earned money at drugstore fare from Asia, the UK, and Europe but not from brands here in the US because it simply wasn’t a formula I was interested in.

Let’s face it, some drugstore makeup does suck. Agreed?

But times they are a changing and many brands are stepping up their game in a MAJOR way. Take the new Maybelline Color Tattoo 24HR Eyeshadow.

Now this I’ll gladly toss money at!

Maybelline seems to have some updates on the horizon for Spring 2012 when it comes to their Dream Mousse Collection. Many of the products are available on clearance at the moment in various drugstores (particularly CVS) I’ve been to lately. No worries though the collection isn’t disappearing for good merely being replaced by brand new offerings.

From what I heard the glass jars that the Dream Mousse products came in failed to keep the product fresh, this is unconfirmed of course, but it could be one of the reasons we are seeing newly packaged products. This, and of course, Spring 2012 is on the horizon a good enough time to start launching brand new products.

One of the more interesting products I’ve had my eye on was the new Maybelline Dreamy Bouncy Blush.

Dear friends,

My holiday wish for you is that you have someone special to spend it with be it your friends, your husband, family, your puppy, your sister, etc….the Holiday is a great time for good food, lovely gifts, and other goodies but the most important part of it all is sharing it with your loved one(s).

Remember it’s not about getting but giving and remembering to share the love in your heart with others be it someone close to you or a complete stranger that you offer a comforting smile to. Please always try to love yourself and each other.

Thank you for making everyday on Musings a good day. I’m always utterly humbled that I’m not talking to myself around here but have a ton of very lovely people who read what I say daily. Thanks for joining me in my makeup world and life, I sincerely couldn’t do it with out all of you to inspire and motivate me.

I wish you and yours the Happiest, Warmest, Brightest Holiday Season full of adventures through time and space (*wink*)! I hope you are surrounded by wonderful people to share it with, that Santa is extra good to you, and you have a successful, wonderful New Year ahead!
